I notice in your video that you do not reward with a treat when training which I have been doing with my 5 year old Border Collie rescue. The problem I have with treats is that my dog clings to me and does not act natural while training recall and I equate this with the pouch of treats I carry. Is just saying “good dog!” enough?

Jeff Gellman has so much free advice online. I would highly recommend anything he publishes. He has helped me save many out-of-control foster dogs.
