254 at the engine, but 172.9 at the wheels. Seems a bit off to me, that's saying nearly 1/3rd driveline losses. Normally for FWD you'd expect 15%, maybe a bit more. So I think the dyno is being a bit generous. Its still impressive, but that difference between engine and actual seems a lot.
Yes don’t get me wrong the dyno does produce odd figures it’s well known, but at the same time the cars mapped there are very quick on the road and the dyno holds the euro drag record too. We had the same set up run on a hub dyno and that got 202 wheel power and 244 bhp which is bit more accurate 👍
You mean bhp to whp? It’s down to the weight and the drag but if I’m honest I’m not totally sure why , everyone car on street racers dyno experiences the same
@@Jack_HalfBlind don’t ever listen to a bhp or chp number a dyno shows. Always wrong you’ll never know the exact amount of parasitic loss. Whp is the only number that matters. Not that the hp number is that important.
music to my ears
Dream setup😍
Thanks bro
Very impressive figures. Would be nice to see this line up a 250bhp k swap
Yea would be good!
@@keelanphillips my k swap ef should be out soon. Well have to get them together lol
For sure give us a shout!
198 Nm = 146 lbftm, that's legit. Have you run this down the dragstrip? What does this hatchback weigh?
So when did the VTEC KICK IN YO??
254bhp from 173whp = 32% drivetrain loss...in an EG?
hi!! what are those rims??? looking everywhere, can't find it :0

I have on B16a2...Year 2007...188whp...That was 218hp on the crank...Mustang dyno...
did you bore the engine?
Only 0.5 on the cylinders
what cams u run.?n what piston size bro?
M24xx cams and 81.5 pistons 👍
@@keelanphillips ..very power..not easy to get that..😘
block and cover are stock b16b?
@pyrexecu not sure I understand? It's not really stock anymore
@@keelanphillips I want to know if the block code you are using is b16b or b18. so b18 crank with b16b block
as cylinder head, is it pr3-1 that comes on b16b? or pr3-3, p72
@pyrexecu yes it's a b16b block with b18 crank, and a p72 head 👍
@@keelanphillips That's what I wanted to ask :D There are sometimes problems because I use translation
Where are you losing 80 odd bhp? That’s a steep loss or the dyno is very out
You mean bhp to whp? It’s down to the weight and the drag but if I’m honest I’m not totally sure why , everyone car on street racers dyno experiences the same
@@keelanphillips yes mate, trying to understand how you’re losing 80bhp through transmission? Could understand 40 odd maybe
