Just returned it. Not built to last; lots of plastic. There is a tiny gap at the edge of the platform where food could fall through and into the machine. Mine was also missing the smooth blade.
sorry to hear that. I love mine! also, I think you'll find that the plastic is actually aluminum or a type of "pot metal". Mine also did not have the second blade, but upon researching the listing and the box it came in, I came to the conclusion that there were actually more than one listing for the same machine, at different price points. Of course I bought the cheaper one and discovered that it did not promise 2 blades - that was the higher priced one. Hope this helps.

This machine sucks,it didn't work for me,I trashed it immediately.i spent 160 for nothing.
