Omg it was the Tingle clothes! It all makes sense now. I was running around the Depths with those clothes (as you do) and the zonai constructs I went to interact with instantly retreated into themselves like turtles when I approached them! I thought the game was bugging 🤣😂
people also get shocked when you use the evil spirit costume

yes because that makes sense. unlike them being frightened of tingle.
NPCs have also been scared and hiding their faces etc when I walked up with Phantom Armor
They also get shocked with the labyrinth costume (Ocarina of time Gannon's outfit)
And dark link, and phantom armor, this was already in botw, idk if they added more to totk

The Ninendo animators who did the fairy animations knew exactly what they were doing. 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th bases, 4th also know as home base 😂

Really hoping we get the motor and propeller as dlc zonai devices, plus a bunch more other stuff. Would be more convenient at least
banjo kazooie nuts and bolts interactions with devices using 4 buttons also can add a new layer of depth on zonai building

@@shefsufla stolen from a shrine, you can fuse those parts to weapons and then take them to that one smol goron to disassemble them and get the parts back

Tip for bees: it has a cool down but you can switch weapons to reset the cooldown to make a bee mini gun

So for the rocket payload... the crystals from the spikes on the dragons may not do the most damage in raw numbers but the DO pack is the largest AOE in the game. I use them with arrows on large groups for laughs. A single one of those blue ice crystals from that one dragon is enough to freeze the entire group of those bokoblin conga lines or plant one in the middle of almost any camp to freeze the whole camp. Not a lot of damage, but massive AOE effects. So while I haven't tested it with the fire dragon crystals, it stands to reason huge fireball.

So I can explain the perpetual motion machine at 5:35
Simply put, it's the physics engine working really well but with 1 tiny flaw causing the motion to happen
This is an issue of Newton's 3rd law being missing in this instance. The leaning cubes are supposed to create 2 equal and opposite forces when falling down. One force toward whatever it falls/leans against, while another force into the ground in the OPPOSITE direction of where it leans. When the cubes lean against the handle, it creates a force on it and attempts to move the handle, being tied to the platofrm therefore moving the platform. Normally this woudn't do anything because the force from the bottom of the cubes travels into the platform and therefore back into the handle in the opposite direction with the same strength, causing total acceleration to stay neutral and everything to stay at rest. However, the platform needs to be treated as a physics actor for things to behave this way. Since it's only treated as solid ground in code, any force exerted into it simply goes nowhere just like with solid ground (I mean technically the force goes into the earth itself but since the earth's so big there's no tangible difference) this means that any force put into the ground does NOT make its way back to the handle, meaning there's only 1 force on the handle, making the contraption move. The fact that there's a 1:1 ratio between the handle's motion and the platform's means that the cubes continue to lean on the handle indefinitely, creating perpetual motion.
And there it is. A drone that not only flies, but chases the enemy.

You are mistaken. In reality you would get a force pressing the cart down.
Rockets move by expelling a reaction mass in a direction to produce thrust in the opposite direction. This is the same in all environments.
0:30 I recently replayed BotW with (visually) modded armors and always wondered why NPCs reacted so strange for me when I was wearing my favourite armor. Took me a while to realize, that said armor was the Tingle Armor under the hood, lol
5:33, if I had to guess, I think the motion comes from the blocks leaning into the turn-handle. The blocks are trying to "fall over" but keep "falling into" the turn-handle, thus pushing it

I think that the tingle armor scares people because Tingle is a prisoner in some Zelda games.

They removed the sound effects from BOTW that the great fairies made when upgrading. Link would gasp and make sounds that were way more suggestive than just the animation. The animation still occurs but the sounds gone
The level 4 upgrade was the same since BOTW, you all NOW notice it?

the last build with the star is actually clever on mutliple levels. not only provides it a low and one fan flight, the star fragment provides 2 boni: IF you lose the vehicle on a cliff or because you got pushed off a cliff the light acts as an easy marker.
SECOND IS THE BEST. the fragment transfers its distance culling TO THE REST OF THE BUILD. fragments have due to their spawn mechanic a culling of 2000 meters, the highest in game other things vanish under 500m. meaning you can explore stuff in the depths or anywhere without worrying your build get poofed away

i believe the reason why the preputial motion is happening because since its wanting to be on the ground because of in game gravity but since its attached to something it still believes it needs to be on the ground hence it pushes the device around. 5:40

I have 130 hours in the game and haven't really explored the Zonai objects that much, I really need to start doing that

That star fragment on that last contraption should also improve how far away you can walk away from that thing without it despawning.
As soon as I saw the construct heads I thought of how I could use them for a homingissile but the only issue was how to launch them and have the heads activate separately as I didn't yest know that stuff on them activate seperately

The perpetual motion is because ultrahand pulls objects together when you attach, but it can’t pull the lever so the box moves towards the lever. Since the lever keeps moving, the box needs to keep going to catch up to the lever but this just pushes it more
I know you can normally attach objects to those levers so it must have been caused by the specific position and distance between the box and the lever

let me explain this. the boxes are leaning on the rotation handle making it move forward. it is also on the section that it is moving but not the section that is stationary. if it was on the section that was stationary it wouldn't move. and so the leaning plus the rotation makes it always lean on the rotation handle pushing it forward while also following it so that it continues to move foward.

5:46 I think that is really what should realistically happen.
The mechamism is not powered by whatever rotates the lever. Link is obviously not strong enough. So it must be powered by some other energy.
Energy is being spent in the system, assuming the Magic island energy would ever deplete. It's not perpetual motion.
Great fairy theory. First keep in mind this is a nintendo game and every version of the fairy upgrade is a kiss. So with that in mind its safe to assume that the great fairy is simply smooching link similar to how some people would a cute dog.

Motion machine makes sense the block is trying to push forward for being top heavy which then pushes the wheel.... simple mechanics.

man i wanted to create the drone first, but without the shrine fan it was difficult. Ihad the same idea of attacking a fan to the construct head so it would follow enemies
finally got around to building the Drone Ally V2. I'm telling you, it needs the 2 big batteries or it won't do much.
of course they get a shock... for me tingle always seemed like a weird pervert... and his whole fairy thing seemed to me like an odd way to lure link (who was quite often a child at the time) away... Now that might have just been my very abused and maybe a bit broken childhood self that came to this thoughts... but damn... I never trusted that guy...
