I find English hard sometimes cause I try to use context clues and sometimes I use multiple languages in one sentence
Honestly if i was an NCT member I would just cry all day because all of them speak really fast and 70% of them don't even pronounce words correctly in their first languages.
Lmao even i can speak english way better than my own local language that when people try to talk to me with locals i become nervous instead 😅

I bet if he got a new baby that was still struggling with Korean, he'd become fluent in a snap. Always seems like he knows at least the basics plus a bunch of vocab to be able to help all the members communicate. Like I'd seen him talking with Yuta before, but it was impressive how he was translating for Lucas too.

きんもくせい/金木犀(kinmokusei) is what Japanese call.
The words Jungwoo said are pronounced almost like Japanese. He knew the Japanese name possibly.

It's a mistake that a fluent speaker would never even think to make, and also could only happen if the speaker wasn't entirely fluent but had a wide enough English vocabulary at the same time.

He must have some basic understanding of Chinese and Japanese because he has to learn it to communicate to an extent with the members who are native to that language.
He can’t speak Chinese. A lot of Korean vocabulary is borrowed directly from Chinese, so many words will typically sound similar or even the same. It’s not hard to guess what Korean word corresponds to the Chinese word.
