I thought my 93 pass acc big would help with the shooting and try to combat the lane steals and it doesn't seem to matter... people are bricking and these steal animations are too OP I guy can be running ahead by several steps and the guy jumps up 20 ft to hawk it or they teleport backwards and get a steal
game is weird I dont mind the shooting but the paint defence is ridiculous unless you're body to body contact close shots/layups in the paint seem to not be affected whatsoever by interior defence I've played so many games on my 7'0 with 93 block 87 interior D where other 7'0 and even small guards are just tossing the ball into the basket so easily. lane steals and bump steals need to be nerfed
I think that the layups need to be nerfed but lane steals shouldn’t. Good timing and positioning should be rewarded and it’s far more realistic.

I use Legend dimer on my 7 foot inside big. it goes crazy after the Offensive board. even if they miss the first shot, i grab the board and send it right back to the person that missed. the 2 for a dollar is about a 70% shot for my squad right now. Don't sleep on any Legend badges this year. With how expensive it is to get them, you know they have to go crazy.

What you said about dimer is actually true. It doesn’t just affect jumpshots, it increases the shot chance of any shot, even a dunk. You’ll notice dimer will trigger whenever you get an assist on a layup/dunk if you look at the top right. Thats why I won’t run anything below gold dimer on my PG builds, because with all the questionable people I get on my team in the rec, they need all the help they can get on those wonky contact layups they be taking 😂
So gold dimer is deff worth it ? Over silver ?

I feel like the people who complain about shooting didn’t switch their timing profile. I was shooting 20% before I switched my timing profile to high risk now it’s almost at 50%
Then you’re stupid because low risk is the best setting. There’s no reward for high risk considering every green you hit on low risk goes in too. The difference is the ball can still go in on wide open shots without hitting green on low risk. You don’t get a bigger green window. Even a lot of the pros are recommending low risk

I made a 2 way 3 level point forward 6’8 and this is definitely my goal play style. High pass accuracy is so good

You’re literally the last person barring the center that a team wants to have the ball, you’re slow af with the ball, can’t shoot off the dribble, so you ain’t creating shit either lol Y’all get bullied in the paint by the bigger opposing PF, can’t hit 3s but style yourselves a “stretch 4”, rebounding ass cause you’re 6’8 and then y’all got the nerve to invest 80 points in the block attribute like that’s gonna make up for it all

You should make a 5’9 pg, you can get 7 legend badges and that’s not with the 2 tier ups you can use. Stealing is the only form of defense you can do but it’s funny to cook with

About the hot zones same thing happened to me, I think it’s bug. I got a couple hot spots now
Random rec is my home it’s the only place I’m able to actually play games. But oh my god the people in there are crazy.

Some people being 50 is kind of a double edged sword, they’re great to go against, but a hassle to deal with on your team. I have no doubt they’ll get it down soon, maybe they’ll give shooting a slight buff. It’s always an interesting time week one of 2K. 😂
No need, tbh, Tyceno is making crazy shots per usual. People just need to learn the game, find their jumper, but the most important part is the set point at which you release the ball. That setting is huge, I found my perfect spot (about 4 notches after set) and I've been shooting lights out since on Kyrie's jumper. It also seems that your 3 point rating actually matters. I'm way more consistent on my 94 3 build than my 78 3 build. If you have a low-ish rating, it makes sense you're not shooting well.
@@animegopher Idk, it’s kind of odd this year. I feel like the rec has some sort of delay (honestly, maybe it’s the sliders), because it’s much easier to green in theater, I haven’t tried out park yet, so my opinion there is invalid. I like the game, don’t have much trouble, but definitely have buddies that are struggling.
@TiredBoyTy Yeah, delay is just 2k. It's been this way forever. Mycareer, park, rec, and now proving grounds and theater all have different delays. That being said, I think shooting is definitely tougher this year. I have to be way more locked in and it did take a minute for me to get used to it. I like it though. Unironically, if this was the 2k where they decided to make better servers, this would be my favorite 2k of all time. Way less glitchy dribbles, perimeter defense is good, animations look smoother, and there's an actual skill gap as a shooter now. If they fix the interior defense a bit (I was scoring consistently at the rim as a 6'1 guard with a 71 layup over and through 7 footers) then 2k would be near perfect... Except for the macrotransactions and pay to win features, obviously.
So pass accuracy isn’t worth it but I also hear how sweet passing lanes are 👀
My only complaint is that the cost to upgrade stats is insane
@Dignify2k I grinded 35k vc and only got up to a 73 overall. It seems like every year the cost to upgrade gets worse

@@user-iy9ty6nk6f assuming you have the attribute cap breakers max so you can get to 99 overall, it costs somewhere around 300k depending on the build

Legendary Dimer might be broken if you have a full team that uses low-risk, real player percentage, or difficulty based shot timing 😂 At that point, Dimer might just green everything for your teammates lmao

My problem with the game is the game feels so slow like if your not on a little build with 91 ball handle your not moving, that kills the game all around bc everyone wants to dribble so everyone just on playshot again getting screens bc they are screen made i have yet to be isoed just been people setting screens it needs patches alot the shooting is solid compared to the gameplay in 2s
It doesn’t kill the game it makes it more realistic, a 6’8 with 86 ball handle shouldn’t move like a small guard.
I’m 60/55 in the city and then I go to rec and I shoot 25% from 3. It’s just got such a bad delay that it’s impossible to shoot. I use an Ethernet cable too so it’s not my wifi. I shoot better in proven grounds on a higher difficulty and it makes no sense.

The first couple games I was facing under 92, but since then it's been 94+. I'm a 88 ovr. I've had buddies say they've played against 97s.
Idk about skill based match making. I seem to get brain dumb teammates, against average opponents.

Shooting much harder this year and game just dropped, give people a break. I shot 70% from 3 in 2k24, only shooting 48% so far in 25.
@@joshuarouse5898 Is it… or are we just not use to the game yet? IDK why you’re stating the obvious. Even in August it’s still gonna be a toss up whether you get people who know how to shoot.
@@Op-Whatchamacallit both. Its deff harder to shoot. 2k labs even said green windows are smaller this year, and top tier players (dudes on youtube and pro play) have said theyre not shooting as well. And this is with a very weak contest system, almost every shot is "open", you gotta be within 3 inches for yellow contest or on their body for red. So yeah shooting is hard, but yeah ppl are also learning. People may get a little better at shooting but nobody is gonna be greening like last year, nobody. Maybe not a bad thing, maybe it should be more difficult, but my bet is most of the community will complain until mike wang buffs it.
