LOVE this figure. The mix and match possibilities are endless (if you have an extra Mo-Larr, cut the lab coat off and check out the blue harness on that body - it's amazing) but I loved the original setup for this guy so much that I'm keeping him as-is. They really knocked it out of the park with this one.
This was a must have for me. I remember hearing rumors about the He-Ro story a long time ago, and always wanted to see it come to light. Maybe now is a good time to attempt it, rather than another MOTU reboot. The only problem I had with my figure is that the red orb in the chest plate is clearly supposed to have a visible iron cross underneath, but there's this big white splotch under it instead, where I guess the glue kind of messed up. Still though, its a great figure. Now I kind of wish I had gotten the King He-Man figure when it came out so I can put them side by side.
I agree that the head sculpt was an amazing job. However, the belt/holster seems to be made of a plastic material that will brittle or dissolve in the future. Besides this, I really like it. A well done figure, and with several accessories to display him with. I'm glad you managed to make this video. Thanks.
The sword of power must shapeshift was blue then regular color then black then regular color then clear then green and gold the back to the regular color
i thought pixel dan was going to make a closing series collection figure video. .since he was one of the person ,people found out about motuc..if it wasn't for him i wouldn't never knew about motuc it would be nice to see PD make a colse video about motuc
Not to be nit-picky (okay, I'm nit-picky...) but He-Man never used the Power Sword in the original 4 Alcala mini-comics. If you want an Alcala look, it should be with Skeletor. ;-)
Who the hell is this??? I grew up in the 80's was totally into MOTU growing up. Was He-Ro something in the comics that I missed? or just a spin off action figure mythology of the series?
World of Retro Gameplay Thank you. I heard Pixel Dan say that in this video, (on a second play of this video) and I was seriously too dumbfounded to grasp this concept. LOL... I’m still not sure how I feel about this. I’m a grown man now!
@@OHSnappage Hi buddy. I grew up in the 80-90's as well, and I never seen He-Ro. And watching this I'm in dilema: is He-Ro an old GreySkull warrior or a futuristic son of He-man? Does anyone could help?
Vla:d.the.impaler Yes he was to be pitched as a later story, where Adam is now king, sits on the throne of Eternia, married to Teela, their son He-Ro inherits the power of Greyskull.Combating the forces of evil.He was to be part of a new series of the expanding MOTU that never got the financial backing or interest to get produced. Evelyn & Keldor had a child, that she hid from him upon becoming Skeletor. I really think it was cool that the characters were meant to move on to be progressing & growing where other series stay always stuck and never aging.
I think is a way to differentiate him with the other He-Ro in the line, who is meant to be a different character from different era (a wizard from Pre-Ternia; who in the current DC cannon appears to be the son of King Grayskull)

@@vlazzovic Back in the the 80's there was to be a toy line called "The Powers of Grayskull". The wizard He-Ro was supposed to be of this line. It was cancelled before the He-Ro toy came out. The line was set before the time of He-man. This is the basis for the Masters of the Universe Classics He-Ro. In the mid 90's there was a He-man revival attempt that revolved around a character called "He-Ro, Son of He-man". That's what the figure in this video is based on. So, the answer to you question the first He-Ro is an old Grayskull warrior and the second He-ro is the future Son of He-man.
I really like the MOTU classics line, it's very nice and interesting. I think they screwed it up a little bit with these bulky torsos though. How come they didn't realise it won't be OK visually with breastplates added??

the He-ro son if He-man was going to be done by DIC entertainment, Louis Scheimer who work with Filmation, was involved with the series.

After watching your reviews, I bought this figure and Intergalactic Skeletor off BBTS for 20 bucks a piece.
I cant wait to pair him up with the blue axe, sword, and shield from the first weapons pack. Definitely giving the Alcala sword to my Alcala He-Man.
LOVE the Alcala power sword.
I love this figure. The big surprise figure for me last year, he turned out amazingly well.

Whats up with the Filmation He-Man Review? When you get this figure from Mattel?
when are the 2016 figures coming? I'm hoping for Sagitar to make it
I love your videos, but can you lower the volume of the music on the end screen - it's too loud compared to video before.
Does that sword fit with the 5.5" Origins He-Man?
@pixeldan is all of the stories and lore from the bios in any reading form or video ? really interested in the story@pixeldan is
Is that the same gun from the purple Deadpool from a few years ago?

***** I've been here for months, where have you been? ;-)
Isn't that the same armor as New Adventures?
Where did you get vicron?
Please do Filmation line He-Man! He's coming now in February..
That head would be great for a Doc Sampson custom.
Finally getting him
His hair seems to be inspired by tee-la 200x incarnation.Brown with the ponytail
can't find the comic to this story?
Loved it so much i bought 3 he ro 2/ dare figures
Do you think that's the gem of Talmadge?
so if he would have been He-man's son,who would be the mother?
+Mark Demeo (ARCTROOPERMARK) It says on the card back, Teela.
shinmusashi44 oh ok i skipped that part of the video.
Can't wait to get one to open so I can give that awesome sword to my Alcala Skeletor :)
Hmmm... I may be sold on this figure,, if for no other reason than it’s actually affordable on eBay... a rarity for motuc

No, He-Ro was suppose to be a new series, but it never aired. He-Ro is He-Man’s son.

Why is he "He-Ro II" and not just "He-Ro"?
+Dorian McCloud Because there is another character that went by He-Ro, who also already has a figure in this line.
Okay. Thank you. I searched but could not find it.

Something looks very weird with his forehead. A mold issue or is it just your figure, I wonder? Dan, you normally mention such things.
Needs a side by side with King He-Man

HE-RO VS AROM BATMAN.
