Mine is similar however im running a reefs 444 servo and a castle 3800kv system in place of the vxl and proline gladiator tires.

Useful video thank you - I've done pretty much all the same stuff to mine - one question though - what weight oil did you end up using for damping? I went with 40WT - seems pretty good.
I used the standard 30wt

Post up a video of it on a indoor track. I plan to race mine indoor and outdoor for the fun of it. Thinking about throwing spare tekno sct410.3 shocks on mine.
There's an indoor track about 90 mins from here. I just need to make the trek.
I just put GTR shocks on my Raptor R and I went with the black strip shocks. I misremeber what you said in this video. I thought you said you liked the black stripe. I found them to be way too soft and have to run the collar down 3/4 of the way down the thread to give it a little preload too. Thanks again for the info.

Do you use the stock mounting locations for your GTR shocks or have you moved to a different set of holes?
On the rear, I am outboard holes top and bottom. On the front, outboard top, 3rd inboard on the bottom
I’m looking at buying a slash ultimate or this. I will just bash around my neighborhood, and local parks. One day I might race, not really sure. Do you have a recommendation for one over the other? I was also looking at the UDR but I dont see why the benefit for the cost. Thanks
UDR is definitely not a basking rig, but very fun to drive. The Raptor may not be the best choice for true bashing (skate parks, flips etc) because of its longer wheelbase. But if you're doing neighborhood/off road ripping around, I'd take the raptor (I used to have a slash vxl). If you plan on racing in the future, check with your local club to see if the Raptor can be entered in the Short Course Truck class. My club is good with it, so no issues. Good luck!
