Highland cows are famous in Scotland for been big softys other than mother's protecting they young they typically very playful and laid back even though they can be huge
I'm still convinced domestication wasn's as much of what we could feed animals, but more of our ability to give reeeeeeaal good scritches. Example, a wild cow, down on its luck, lays tgere waiting for death. Human comes along. It thinks "aw, feck me" expecting death. Human creeps up, starts giving scritches, because if it feels good to us then it feels good to them. Cow has its mind blown. Gets back up and tells its mates "ey, yo. You never gonna believe this..."
That is such a sweet thought, Tina! I can believe it! Imagine living your whole life never being able to scratch your itches. Then along comes people! Unfortunately there is a tradeoff.
Finding a part of an animal that it cannot reach itself is actually a great way of endearing yourself to lots of animals. Just have a look at them, work out places they won't be able to reach and have a go. I mean not crocodiles or anything crazy 😂 but even bumble bees love being petted because I think its like a scratch, (they have tiny mites in their fluff.) I have photos of me stroking them. When you stop the even reach out to you with their front legs.
Love watching your videos. All your animals are extremely healthy and well taking care of and can tell very easily that they love your farm. You should be proud of keeping all these rare breeds and educating others about them and ensuring that we can appreciate for many years to come

I'd love to get a few as pets one day but I'd worry about getting horned in the face when playing with them.
It must be hard to reach that spot with his hoof. Beautiful animal.
