It looks so nice! I am travelling there with my husband and son in April, and we are meeting up with some family. I had read some reviews which had me a little worried but after seeing your video, I am super excited! Thank you for sharing your experience.
What reviews have you heard (and where?). I’m also going there in April and I’ll be meeting up with some family. Edit: just read them. I’m kinda worried now.
We stayed at Coba and in order to visit and use the amenities at the other ones we had to purchase a separate wrist band. I believe they were about $10 US per person. Enjoy!
@@3suitcases2022 we know the beach can be accessed by a shuttle or trolley as it's a little far but what about the children's waterslides and playground hope they are just in the resort?.
@@3suitcases2022 the main buffet is in the hotel itself but how do we get to the lacarte restaurants?. It would be much helpful if anyone knows which restaurant if the main buffet one or lacarte restaurants have the most vegetarian food options. I just don't want my little child to get exhausted and I'm glad to hear that the kids waterslides are on the resort just wanted to know more about how we get to the lacarte restaurants and for vegetarian food. Hopefully my little one will not get too much exhausted. Could have been better with a beach just there but after looking at other resorts this one appears to be more child friendly one with their activities and has more vegetarian food aswell so just for the beach not being on site is not the end we could just take the trolley. Overall this resort seemed a lot better than the other resorts. Thanks.
@@JS-jj1vg The buffet is right next to the main lobby. The other restaurants are scattered thru out the resort but no worries, there are within walking distance of the pool areas. Also, trolleys ride around the resort as well and can take you to the restaurants.
I know the main lobby was open to the outside, but all the other places in the resort that were completely closed in (the game room/sports bar/restaurants), how was the AC? And in the rooms itself, how was the AC? I have been to a resort where the AC was just never really cold enough with how hot it is outside.
Hi, Are credit cards accepted if we go to a shopping mall or nearby shops that sell everything for payments. How much do taxis and buses charge and do they accept credit cards?.
Malls and restaurants accept credit cards. Taxis and smaller shops it’s better to have pesos. We also noticed that American Express is not accepted everywhere. Visa is better. A far as how much taxis and buses are depends on how far you are going. Best to ask before getting in the taxi.
I have heard that it's not safe to go out of the resort even to any shopping malls, shops or even take a bus or taxi to the above. Please share your experiences.
we feel very safe in Mexico in general. We do not stay at all in inclusive resorts normally has we have traveled all over the Yucatan Peninsula. I am not saying petty theft does not happen in tourist areas but just use common sense and keep your valuables close by. Hi, Does this resort have a free shuttle bus that takes you to nearby shops that sell clothes, food items?. Where would be the best place for shopping to go to that would sell the above?.
I’m from the UK and me and my boyfriend are thinking of travelling to Mexico this year. I was wondering what is the best currency to take? US dollars or Mexican Pesos?
Hi, we are thinking about traveling to this Hotel. Can you really eat and drink in all Restaurants/Bars/Snackbars within all inclusive or is there any additional cost? Would you recommend traveling to this Hotel ? We are from Austria an searching for a all inclusive hotel which has a big selection of food and drinks within all inclusive and is located in an hot area in March I really enjoyed your video!
hi Samantha! Thank you for watching! We did enjoy this hotel very much! Staying at this hotel we had to pay $10 US each for wrist bands to visit and use the other attached resorts. I believe if you stay at the Akumal Luxury Resort there is not an extra fee but for Coba there was. But the pools at Coba were awesome!
Does this resort have childrens club, playground with slides and swings, also does this have adults waterslides and 4 years old waterslides. We are a vegetarian and don't know exactly which resort to go to as being a vegetarian. We want to know is the peso the best currency from UK to use there and could you also use your credit card for excersions and does the hotel organise trips like to see chichen itza
yes they do have a children's club but we did not see a playground. No adult waterslides, sorry. if you are going to stay on the resort $ is fine. if you plan on going into town Pesos would be better. Yes, they take credit cards for excursions and you can set them up with the hotel 😄

@@JS-jj1vgtake the trolley to the beach. It will s free. Pesos are preferred, But $ are acceptable as well. Sorry I cannot help on the vegetarian options as we eat everything. You could contact the resort and ask. I would think they would have options as there are many people with special food requirements.

Fun Nice. When you get to resorts the rooms never Ready???? But they Know you are Arriving ?? All Great
you are right, Rooms are never ready but we always make the best of it!
I think we make the Booking this week for arrival August. Little afraid for the seeweed.
Summer time isn’t the best time for seaweed but most hotels try to clean it up every morning. Enjoy your vacation 😎

Thank you 😊
Water always warm near the swim up bar 😂
lol! that's funny!
Are the lacarte restaurants only for dinner and can anyone suggest which tourist attractions there are for children aged 4. Thanks.
Looks fab! Can you confirm u can use all the kids splash parks. Looking to book Coba x

Now those wrist bands are $18 USD 2024
Great video ❤ so the beach is very rocky - do we need water shoes to comfortably walk under water?
Thank you 😁. I would suggest water shoes for sure
Even through the hotel is not on the beach can you still get free drinks on the beach with the all inclsuisve
ABSOLUTELY
Hi!! When you are staying at Coba and you go to the beach - do you still have access to free drinks? Is there a bar down by the beach?
Yes there is a beach bar and has long as you have your wristband on the drinks are free .
Was there any surfing offered by the resort? If not, was there any surfing offered nearby?
Hi Megan. We did not notice any surfing options in the area.
With booking the excursions would it be cheaper to book with a tui rep or hotel. We will be traveling from the UK.
that's a tough one! Maybe go online and compare prices for the excursions you would like to do.

Do you have to pay to play tge games if so how much
It’s free😁
How is the wifi? My partner would need to have it for business purposes
We didn’t have any problems but we didn’t do anything downloading or anything like that.

Any advise for cigar smokers?
hard to say now that Mexico has banned smoking in all public places. I am not sure what all inclusive resorts are doing for their smoking customers 😥

Sorry we drove so I am not sure about a shuttle for shopping. I would talk to the front desk and ask about going to Tulum for shopping

Pesos is the best bet. Exchange rates for the $ are down right now.
