- The devs at Aerofly were kind enough to send me their new blackhawk before it drops! I review it and show you what's up! Enjoy!
The techniques and tactics used in my videos are purely that of the simulated world. This does not represent real life flying, tactics, techniques, or aircraft capabilities.
Just thinking about how much complexity and intricacy there is between all the mechanical working parts and electronics, to digitally simulate those workings is just incredible.

Most underrated sim channel on TH-cam. Absolutely the most informative and no BS videos, love the work man keep it up !
I tried some ILS approaches and I don't think that it is implemented yet, but I was suppressed to see that they implemented the go around and made it a bindable button for your joystick.
It's funny that you can do ILS landings with helicopters and VTOL's. They can land just about any place.

Hey Chief, I got a chance to fly one of those in the Simulator building near Rucker a couple of years ago while attending WOILE.. I also got a chance to fly and auto rotate a Chinook the same day. You're lucky getting to do this for a living man. @18:40, funny thing is the Chief that was showing me how to fly it kept challenging me to get the Blackhawk to hover and I kept messing it up. Spent a long time trying to figure it out until another Chief showed me the auto-hover option, LOL. Best of luck.

@@SnakPakFlight Were you "Street to Seat" or prior Enlisted? That's a great program the Army has to allow qualified individuals to go straight into Rucker, become a Warrant and go right into Flight School.

The landinglights going on automatically is a ASSISTENT from the AF FS4, when you fly low it engages them, you can turn them off in the settings.

Greetings from a fellow Black Hawk instructor! One day I hope to fly the Mikes. Currently on have about 4000 hours on S-70A-9. 🫡 got out of the Army about 4 years ago and switched to reserves. But don’t fly for them anymore. Thanks for your videos! I look forward to hearing about the improvements they’ve made. Hopefully they can fix the torque and other small points. Cheers!

I did use the mouse! I tried using the controller for a bit but I am limited by my own personal setup being in a confined area. I would prefer to use the controller exclusively for the realism but you are right. The mouse is easier. Check this mod out! Not out yet but should be available I think within a week or so!
It will come with a checklist. A lot different from the L. However, it’s still a blackhawk. Basically, batteries on, APU on with gen, start engines, take engines to fly. But lots of avionics and AFCS systems you’ll want on as well

have you every thought about trying to connect a stick to the airplane throttle controls and use that has a helicopter collective, or does the usa military allow you not to do that!
Just saw a video of a guy using Infuse for VR hand tracking and it was tracking each finger. Might be worth a try for these kinds of setups so you dont need the vr controller

Do you know if it will be a separate pack, or if it will be included with the base game for free. Also, where are you stationed right now. Currently I am at Fort Drum with the 10th CAB.
I honestly don't know. They hooked me up with the game and beta of the 60M in exchange for the review. Should be coming out very soon.

@@SnakPakFlight Ok, thanks. I have been flying the MSFS2020 UH-60M and the DCS UH-60L for a while and I was excited to see a high quality UH-60M for when I just want to hop on and go for a flight in the sim without having to go in to work and wait for my scheduled flights.

No it’s very smooth in the Reverb G2. This is the best I can get it as of now into a 2d video for youtube

In this video I was just using the logitech stuff but I just got some new stuff in from Thrustmaster. My setup is currently under construction but will have a video on all my specs coming soon.

is that shaking of the view, caused by the VR headset technology precision or normal human head shake, normally would be compansated by the brain, but it cannot be companstated in the recording? hard to watch

Yeah hard to say. Our manuals are not for public distribution but there is quite a bit of info on the web
@@SnakPakFlight could not find a single foto of the middle console nor the mfd pages. how can i be able to make a Mike for x-plane if such basics are not available. the Lima is complete and breathtaking. the Lima manual was published long ago.

Could i persuade you to do a theoretical vid about combat helicopter strategies, and how to move efficiently in a battle zone.
Obviously not for a real combat scenario, duh. But geared towards combat sims, like DCS or war thunder.
I ask, because every and any vids about heli combat in sims, are braging vids or straight up a noob-guide to basics. Om lokking to try and improve my tactics and survival rate in game... Not Speedy mcQueen inverted rocket salvo drive by 👍

I took a look at your channel and I see you're from Deutschland. I was stationed there for about a year. Got to fly over your beautiful country. Mostly Bavaria. Saw some beautiful castles and landscapes. The banner on my channel homescreen is a photo I took while flying in the mountains near Garmisch. Some of the most beautiful flying I've ever done.
What happens if you forget a switch?😅 Do you run into serious trouble later in flight?
Try flying IMC in severe icing and blade de-ice system fails. All because I forgot a switch….Fortunately, figured it out quickly.

Both great. I would say they are both very realistic in their own ways. Both have minor discrepancies from the real thing but overall are VERY close to perfect. DCS 60L is closer as far as cockpit indications to. The Aerofly 60M is closer to the right stick feel. But they are both different in real life as far as the cockpit goes so it’s hard to compare.

HMX-1 uses a couple different models. The most famous one that you see on the South Lawn is an old Sea King variant known as the VH-3D. The also have a weird H-60 variant known as the VH-60N White Hawk and they're testing out Ospreys. No idea if they're in service though. I did a transfer inspection on a former HMX-1 bird that DoD was prepping to be sell to an ally. That thing was the definition of lipstick on a pig.

Don't think there is a 60M for DCS. But I have some other videos where I fly the 60L
This is NOT the Mike model. How do I know? I built the first 145 of them on the final assembly line at the Sikorsky Plant in Stratford, CT. The blades are wrong, and the stabilator is wrong. The cockpit is not bad but the external model is God-awful.
Yeah I did notice the blades weren’t very wide. Didn’t look too hard at the stab. But I thought it was pretty good for v1.0 considering they probably didn’t have any official manuals.
