    I have one 8335r i love it, but it take some time to fall in love with it, because it is very picky with the mouthpieces and does everthing his own way , it s a sleeping monster but have to be aweked , the small bell does a piccolo jobs, lows smooth ,fluted sounds adn clear . With a acb TA 2 mp the sound fattens up ,and perfect with Yam. mp 5a4 & 13a4a.

      @@harrelsontrumpets Why sadly? From someone who was in drum corps, I'm just curious as to why you have that opinion. Other than having to do visuals with it (usually causing dents and scratches from the nature of what they have you do on the field).

      @@chrishanks9261 Because Drum Corps is all about community and Yamaha is a major multinational corporation that is more about profits than community. Getzen, Schilke, Kanstul, and others would have been better options for a group that supports community.

    Yes, The specific model you showed here is the RS

      @harrelsontrumpets  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      S just means silver and most RS models are marked R

      @@harrelsontrumpets Yes, a number of years ago Yamaha did have an R model of xeno with the reverse lead pipe and standard lacquer option, but for some reason they did away with the lacquer model and just stuck with the silver plate.
      On the official site of Yamaha instruments the xeno model trumpets that have silver plating and reversed leadpipes are marked as RS, I have no idea why the specific individual model you show here was just marked R. That's kind of weird.
      But the model engraving doesn't matter, only how well it plays and how good it sounds.
      You know what they say; it's what's on the inside that matters, not the outside 😁

    What does it mean R?

    • @roflrolf1782

      Reversed Leadpipe and no 3rd slide water key for less air resistance.
