Pleasant walk's around Dalyan.

- in our recent visit to Dalyan we where amazed at how many people haven't ever ventured across the river to the opposite bank to the town, Filmed in the beginning of June we take the row boat and walk the route to the ferry boat , Just us two and you observing the sights and sounds along the way.

It’s been 7 years since we were there and my mobility’s is much worse now but it’s why we choose Dayan as it’s so flat with enough to keep us both occupied. Shame you didn’t get to go through the gate - was that into the cemetery- we always visit it, it’s very shaded in the heat of summer, we lay some flowers and you get a closer look at the smaller hidden tombs there too. We are planning going September this year- your videos have made us miss it so much.

Beautiful place Dalyan is 👌 we started going in 99 and been been back there countless times, and have been trawling through most of your wonderful videos 👍 Dalyan has changed a lot, the last time we were there was 2017 but we will be going back next year and take in atmosphere and to people watch lol, most of the roads were dirt and was great when the shop keepers sprayed the area with hoses to keep the dust down and a lot burnt cow dung to keep the mosquitoes down! That stunk!😷🤥🤢 Thank you for putting these great videos up, çok teşekkür ederiz
@@pete2109 Thank you for sharing those great memories Pete, The older days of Dalyan where the best, or was it because i was younger, No i loved the rural rustic days , I hope you will continue to follow us when we head for other pastures.
What a difference to the other side! I hope the idyllic bank below the rock tombs stays pure and simple like that. The bushes with pink and white flowers are Oleander/Rose Bay. And in the small glasses on top of the honey might be hard roe of "Kefal" - Dalyan's famous fish. In former times it was preserved by covering it completely with bee wax. It looked like carob and we had slices of this delicacy enjoying breakfast with local friends of the village.

Love Dalyan, we were across in June and I did a lovely walk from the top ferry near the lake and round to Candir and back across the bottom ferry.

What's the name of the place where you had brekkie? Great vids BTW
Meriç Cafe , there are others going to Candir, but this is immediately as you get out or off the rowing boat.
