    Never thought this existed. Everyone pretty much will just say 1-2-1 method.
    Thanks for sharing! I will try it out.

    Ok my instructor is teaching me x1 full turn to the left, then when the triangle disappears(pavement / road) full right turn to lock and then straighten up when the door handle is parallel to the curb.

    Thank you! I didn’t know slowly hitting the kerb doesn’t mean failing your test. That’s a big relief to know!

    • @healfdeane
      @healfdeane ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn’t know that either until I just saw this now. I would have thought it was an instant fail if you so much as lightly touch the kerb.

    • @xusiaxod6255
      @xusiaxod6255 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes but be aware some examiners will ask you to do it next to a drop kerb and ask you to treat it as a raised curb. You won't feel the tyre hit the kerb then and you will go up it and fail.

    • @BradleysDrivingSchool
      @BradleysDrivingSchool  ปีที่แล้ว

      Examiners won’t tell you it’s a dropped kerb, if you are going at the right speed you will feel it nudge the kerb

    • @xusiaxod6255
      @xusiaxod6255 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BradleysDrivingSchool They do tell you because a dropped kerb is usually outside a driveway. They tell you to ignore the driveway and treat the drop kerb as a normal kerb. You won't feel it nudge it the kerb as there isn't one. I am talking from experience here.

    • @TehProBandit

      @@xusiaxod6255 I failed my test recently on exactly this, I was fuming, as I said to the examiner, how can you tell me to parallel park on a dropped kerb, when it’s not an actual kerb.
      They’re setting you up for failure, it’s ridiculous.

    Great video. I was taught L R R L and as far as I can see yours is L R L (combining the 2 right turns into a single move).
    Does this 3 turn method rely on having a wide road and 2 car lengths? I live on a narrow terraced road with cars on both sides, so often don't have much swing room. Also the spaces are often quite small (maybe 1.5 car lengths).
    I've been parking fine here for years, without really thinking about it. However we have a new car that is slightly bigger, and harder to park. I'm trying to get a method nailed down and I like your use of reference points on the vehicle.

    When i have tried this and turned the wheel to 6 , my car ( a golf ) turns to the curb very wide , then when i double lock ( because i am quite close to the car behind because of how i have turned in at such a diagonal angle ) i end up quite a fair distance from the curb. What is the reason for this please ? Hope that makes sense.
