the actor (norm lewis) who played bobby is also a fantastic singer. he was also the first black actor to play the phantom of the opera on broadway.
I hope it’s recorded somewhere. I like that musical and his voice would sing music of the night amazingly!
@notprincessanna4806 I believe the full show with him as the Phantom is on TH-cam. I was lucky enough to have front row seats to see him as the Phantom on Broadway when I was a teenager. He was absolutely amazing. My friends and I got to meet him at the stage door after the show and he was genuinely one of the kindest and most down to earth people I’ve ever met ❤️

Bipolar disorder does this to me. I can become pretty apathetic with depression and then extremely empathetic with mania. Among a lot of other changes. Has given me an identity crisis many times. I kind of just accept now that a lot of who I am depends on brain chemistry and do my best to keep my mind balanced.

Exactly. Mr. Rogers did it right. Sure, he probably could've given away all his worldly possessions, but self-sacrifice to that extent doesn't help. He helped many more people by using his resources to reach others, spread the message and touch their hearts.
Also Mother Theresa was a terrible person, she actually sought to worsen people's suffering because she believed that was the path to godliness.

@dietotaku In a certain sense, she wasn’t wrong. Look at how many people become religious when they go to jail/prison or lose a loved one, suffering does heighten one’s searching for an answer, especially in religion.
I am a registered nurse 35 years and well. I appreciate the fact that this gentleman is being generous. It’s a result of a physical issue. What about his family? He lived in a nice neighborhood. He was taking care of his family and now he’s no longer doing that. Yes, he’s giving away is boot at a time when it’s very cold out but what is that really accomplishing the Man is sick.
The Dr said he drained the bank accounts. They may not live in a nice neighborhood anymore.

The last minute of this clip really solidifies why I want to be a nurse. Being able to help people in their time of need, to give them patience and kindness in their most vulnerable moments, to give them hope of the future, that’s what makes it worth it. I’m less than a year away from graduation, and while I’m nervous to take that step, seeing stuff like this-even if it’s fictional-makes me remember why I chose this path in the first place.
I also wanted to be an EMT, it’s not exactly the same as being a nurse, but it’s some thing

The idea of saints in the Bible were actually just everyday people like you or me who had the humility to realize:
- they aren’t perfect all the time and therefore needed God’s forgiveness for those times and -accepted Jesus’ self sacrifice for them and all humans so the penalty of our sins can go unto Him and we can receive forgiveness
It’s not a perfect person.
Actually 1 John 1 mentions if you say you have no sin, you’re a liar and are not in the light. But if you admit you have sin and come into the light, you are forgiven and cleansed bc of the sacrifice of Jesus.

She looks around the ER, and it’s Christmas. What I see when I go to the ER, are drs. and nurses concentrating on their job, or talking about trivialities sometimes at their work stations to take the pressure off. People suffering waiting for someone to help. There’s a lot of people. They are very attentive when taking care of you, some are more caring than others, but they all do their jobs well.
The ambulance people are the best :), but they have one patient and time. At Mount Sinai Hospitals in New York, they are always very busy. It’s nonstop! Sometimes there’s a real emergency and sometimes a guy comes in with handcuffs and the cops. Sometimes there’s old people, once in a while a kid So mostly I see people cleaning the floors, emptying the garbage, taking care of linens, walking purposely around from patient to patient, assistant nurses getting blankets and water. . . It’s really a comfort having the Morningside hospital ER two blocks away. They’re all great, it just doesn’t look like it looks in the scene at the end of the show! :)🌷🌱👩🏻⚕️🧑🏼🔬🔬👨🏾⚕️👨🏽🔬🩻💉🩺🩹

Wow! You people really don't understand the culture of homeless people. They help each other because they do not get adequate care from the state. The most severely desperate are prioritized, and those helping them have limited ressources. That is why these situations arise.
I believe you can either live as though nothing is a miracle or that everything is, and I choose to believe that everything good is a miracle. It makes it more special than it already is.
If I find a good parking place, I often feel that's a miracle and am grateful.

I'm not in medicine directly but I've worked with doctors. You have to have a hard shell to handle the suffering but that shell can make you hard. Remembering the good you do every day can make all the difference.

I watched a man that was like a brother fade away from glioblastoma (brain cancer) and it's absolutely awful to realize the person you love is already gone though the body is alive
A true, real saint is someone that take care of themselves and their family, etc. and if they have any to spare, they can give or do for a good cause.

I worked with a man whose wife had brain trauma as a result of a car accident. She went from being a loving and dedicated wife and mother to a mean drunk and cheater. It's sad that brain trauma can completely change who a person is.

Mother Teresa was human but she shown me kindness is better than being evil in this world. The ones who have nothing have more of a heart you'll be surprised how many times I been helped by humble people who have nothing.
