I thoroughly approve of your philosophy concerning artifact vs. coin . So many detectorists get way too centered on "silver" . It's refreshing to hear that you have an appreciation for historical(even if simple) objects😊.
I would be 100% happy finding something strange looking that I can spend time at home trying to work out what it is and how old it is over a hammered coin any day of the week. Well maybe not a gold one but that’s a discussion for another video 😂👍
Your first find is the baseplate to a 1/32 scale figure or soldier . CBG , W. Britain's , ect. Probably Crescent Co. ltd. , if it's unmarked. Mid 20th century😊
Another cracking days detecting 👏 love the drone shots and the camera angle at 3:50 showing the elevations of the field. I just dont think that field is big enough for you though 😂
When you go in a field that’s that big compared to the size of your coil it is always daunting isn’t it. There was enough there for a club to do I am sure Chris 👍👍
Great video Michael! Super finds and gorgeous video. Always good to see another of your videos. I was thinking toy soldier base as well. Lead soldiers is something I have found numerous of here in California. Thanks again for taking us along…. John
Thanks John, I honestly did not think of that in the field but I think it is one for sure buddy. Just a thought, it was mega hot that day in the field but I bet it was mild compared California 🥵👍👍
I do sometimes forget that our history is so deep that even the stuff that’s a few hundred years old is considered very old to some. I’m always happy to find it though as everything has a history 👍👍
You probably have the best channel going by a long way. It’s an absolute pleasure for me to sit down and watch your videos. Keep it up young man 😁👍
Coming from you Adrian that is a real compliment my friend, thank you so much 😃👍
I agree!
Another great video inspiring me and my grandson to get out metal detecting today. 😊
If I can inspire anyone to do anything then that’s job done for me Fred. Thank you for the comment. ATB 👍👍

@@OMA_MetalDetecting Michael it does get hot here in the summer but we say it’s a dry heat as not to much humidity. Keep up the great work.
It's not that old it's only 1700s🤦🏼♂️🤣. Now that 1500s (Tudor?) that's old. Great video, amazing finds Michael. Thanks for sharing. *Chris*

Interesting vblog. You have a TV presenter voice 😊
Thank you. I have been told that before but I’m so critical of myself that I have to disagree 😂👍
the head both sides object is an anthropomorphic terminal of a post medieval chafing dish arm (16th - 17thC)
Holy moly! How on earth did you manage to get that? 😮 just had a look at one and it is very close indeed. Love comments like this, thanks so much 👍👍
@@OMA_MetalDetecting Been mettlin' for many years :)
Horse harness pendant ?
Or small roman figure base
Dammit! That’s such a good suggestion… why didn’t I think of that lol. Thanks buddy 👍👍
Metal toy soldier stand ?
This is why I love putting it out in the comments, always great suggestions 👍👍
