- Castaways, we are castaways! On Disney's private island: Castaway Cay! In this Disney Cruise Line vlog my friend Jen and I enjoy a chill morning on Serenity Bay, lunch up on Deck 11's food festival and dinner at Palo: Steakhouse.

In this Disney Cruise Line vlog from Disney's Castaway Cay, I enjoy a room service breakfast on the balcony before Jen and I disembark the ship first thing and head over to the adults' only beach: Serenity Bay. Whilst there, we see a bunch of wildlife, including pelicans, birds, fish and starfish.
Back on the ship we have lunch at Mickey's Festival of Foods, I have a chill in the Rainforest Room, Jen gets a blow dry in the salon and I pick up some ice cream from the Inside Out themed ice cream shop. In the evening we explore the shops and grab a pre-dinner cocktail at The Rose. Then, we have an amazin meal at Palo: Steakhouse before catching the Pirate Night Fireworks before bed.

Supposedly, when they dredge the ocean floor to make way for the ships at castaway, they took a lot of energy and funding to take the Coral from that area and go and reestablish the same corals, saving them, and another close by area where they could watch and tend it.
They also did other eco-friendly things on the island like use an unusual product to run the trams all over the island. According to the videos on the Disney cruise ship, they use used fry oil.

I love how sentimental you are Adam! I teared up too hearing the horn as you left castaway cay and I wasn’t even there! There is just something about the sound of that horn that brings a flood of wonderful memories. I’m booked on the Fantasy next March and can’t wait to hear the horn in real life. Guaranteed I’ll be tearing up then too! …and fireworks make me tear up too!

Loved the vlog and even though you got rained off early from Castaway Key by going early you showed what a benefit that was, You looked like that was your best experience there, with all the wildlife. I am definately looking at a cruise and Lighthouse Point is part of it now

A lot of cruise lines had midnight buffet they stop it because they wasted a lot of food so they r not bringing it back 😢
