Great video and great image! Thanks a lot. I’ve been using siril for quite a while now and it is exciting not only that they added new features but also that channels like yours and some others are sharing their tips and tricks. I love this community :) Clear skies 🙏
Very nice image, your making great progress , siril is an excellent bit of free software and it keeps getting better , thanks for sharing your work mate
great tutorial, I usually only did photometric color calibration and skipped the other, I am still using startnet++ outside siril and then off to Gimp. I love doing the masking in gimp to bring out only certain details and sharpen or blur selectively only pieces.
Are you running the beta? If so you need to install starnet cli and then go to preferences and miscellaneous in siril and point the software location to the starnet executable. With windows that's it, if you're on a Mac then you have to add permissions to the executable
Hey thanks for the shout out man! Appreciate it!
Any time. You have helped me immensely.
Nice job!! That is a very pretty picture that you ended up with. Clouds suck! :)

Thank you and I agree, it's getting better all the time and even since recording this video I've learned a bunch.
Beautiful image Whyf16uy👍
Thanks you sir
At 4:19 you are not applying background extraction, so this step is canceled and no extraction occurs.
Nice catch, Yes I screwed up. Gee that never happens :)
The person who never makes a mistake will never make anything 🙂
Nice job and very informative. I'm just getting into astrophotography and using Siril and this is going to help a lot.
And you can't beat the price. Especially when you're just starting out like us.

Yeah I still jump into gimp for things I'm not smart enough to do in SIRL yet.
It won’t let me use starnet tin Siril how do you do it

@@whyf16uy yea I have the beta im and I point to the executable but when I’m about to run starnett the execute button is no lit up so I can’t press it
@astroduck then you haven't added the path to the executable in preferences. Or if you're on mac the executable permissions haven't been set
@@whyf16uy I’m on windows how do I set the path?

GREAT VIDEO!
You did some really intense stuff and explained everything clearly, so even a numbskull like me can follow it.
Thank You .
