Actually I’d say the jets had an easier time. Most of the gunships and hunter choppers were most likely being used as CAS by the combine. In fact I think the gunships and hunter choppers were the only planes shooting down jets and helos.

As an American, I can personally say this is an unthinkable reality for my country. We're recognized as having the most powerful military in the world, and we haven't fought war with a foreign country in our MAINLAND since like the 1700's. And over the last several decades, military technology has advanced so much, that drone-warfare of various types is completely possible now. Seeing a country like mine fall in a mere 7 hours is, again, unthinkable.

@@randomdude5726 that would only delay the inevitable as that won't stop the combines ability from opening the portals. It might also cause damage and death on our end as well.

You know I would like to see 2 things

2: a seven war AU mod. It would be an alternate timeline were earth was ready for the war.
Either that if it does come to a stalemate I don't expect the combine to make an armistice any time soon.

I mean considering that the earth is still intact after the war we can probably assume that they dont have much big boom boom doomsday weapons so maybe nukes would help us buy a little extra time

Seven Hour War is one of those things I long to know more about. We know the official war lasted 7 hours, but how long was the Portal Storms(days, weeks, months?), how long did it take the nations of Earth to understand they where under attack, how much of the world was taken before the UN surrender, how long did forces/nations that refused the surrender hold out, why is there a big red X over North America in HL:A?
