    Awesome...Thanks, dude. That's the best footage of Zion I've ever seen. I really had no idea what it was like...what an amazing park! Thanks again for taking all the time and efforts to share your vacay with us. Its a needed boost for us who are in the middle of winter! All the best...

    That Cyclops LED really made a difference. The tunnel was a perfect example. That's the next purchase, for sure.

    I rode zion road both ways in early April 2017. Last one in the tunnel. At tunnel window I stopped. Took pictures then motored at 60 mph to catch up. So much fun. 12 is a great road. Next trip check out the MOKIE DUGWAY in Mexican Hat Utah. I rode down up and back down.

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's pretty sneaky of you! I just googled Mokie Dugway...I'm gonna have to check that out in person.

    Amazing footage on that ride Mario, those mountains you drove through were really cool, I like the fact that the speed limit is 80mph otherwise you would be driving forever... I hope to one day do something just like what you guys have done. who does most of the footage Kristen? that's what I'm thinking she does an awesome job if so. Well keep the videos coming my friend and looking forward to day 11.

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's nice to be able to cover those areas at 80 which is still safe since there isn't much traffic. As for the footage, it's probably about 60/40 me to her on the bike filming but I end up using more of hers since she can get so much better angles and shots.

    You crammed a lot into one day here! Wife and I did the other direction, came up through Grand Staircase Escalante. (Next time you go out there, take Cottonwood Canyon Road; it's unpaved, the scenery is magnificent. I'd have missed it were I not packing along a Nat. Geo. guide to scenic roads.) Spent a couple of days each in Bryce and Zion; it's worth spending the time there. I hiked up to Observation Point in Zion (I believe that's the rounded peak in your photo around the 6 min. mark), strenuous hike (4 miles horizontal, 2200 ft. vertical each way), well worth it for the view! (Check out the photosphere on GoogleMaps.) Saw a t-shirt in the gift shop in Bryce which showed some of those hoodoos; had a quote from a geologist that read, "Hoodoo: a precise geological term meaning, 'We don't know what else to call them' ".

      Only so many days to take off work and when you live in WV takes awhile to get across the country and back. Which is why we're spending a week riding around Utah this summer.

    Your videos are always my favorite. Kristen must be a trooper to do the kind of miles you guys are doing every day in the heat. My wife loves to go too and I say the trip is always better sleeping with a naked woman every night. Next time you do a trip like that you have to get a national parks pass. $80 bucks and you get in anywhere for a year and its good for up to 4 people. We usually go in October and I only have to buy one every two years since it's good until the end of the month the next year. Also, If you ever get a break in the fall, winter or spring, my wife and I love Big Bend area in Texas. It's the least visited national park in the U.S. but so many good rides.

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      J.D. happy to hear you and your wife are enjoying the videos. Having her along for the ride is much better. I'll have to add Big Bend on my list of places to visit. Yea...I should've gone with the annual pass; think it would've saved me about $25 this trip.

    awesome video, brought back some great memories. What are you using to record your voice + video? Is that some sort of helmet/mic combo, would really love to get something similar. Thanks!

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Michael. For that video I'm using a Hero 5 Black camera with a hard wired mic. I may have also done some voice over recording in it but didn't go back to watch to see.

    F**king EPIC!!!!! Bryce and Zion........ two of the most amazing places I've ever seen in person........ When you left Bryce, did you ride through Antimony? The longest straight section of road I've ever seen in my life there.....

    Enjoyed your video and thanks for sharing. Would you do a video on how your KTM did on the long trip with Kristen? Advantages and disadvantages of the KTM on that kind of trip? I really enjoy long distance trips and looking for a good bike for Mrs TWD to ride long distance with.

    Great job. Do you use GoPro for ALL your video??

    • @2WR
      @2WR  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Tom! To answer your question, no and in one of the upcoming videos (can't remember which one) I actually show what I use. For the videos in this series, on the bikeI used a GoPro Hero 5 black mounted to my helmet (and in the pool) and Kristen had a Hero 3+ Black on a gimbal. Off the bike it's a combination of a Canon S120, our iPhones and my DJI drone. After this trip, I upgraded to a Canon EOS M5 but still use the Canon S120 quite a bit do to its convenience.

      Tom, if you check the description I put the "recorded date" on all of them. The entire trip took place from 8/19/17-9/3/17. Have a great time!

    Its too bad you skipped the 12 from Bryce through Escalante. Some of the best roads / scenery in the area. 95 > 261 (Moki Dugway) > monument valley if you ever ride back out.
