I appreciate you sharing your experience in the description! Quick question, Chris. Are you importing h265 .mov files into Premiere? Or did you convert them beforehand? If not, would you consider trying to convert them to Apple ProRes with Adobe Media Encoder and sharing your results? I'm curious how much better the experience would be using ProRes footage in comparison. I'd love to have full resolution playback for once.
I import the H.265 files directly into Premiere. Will try to work on ProRes files and see the difference, I also much prefer to have full resolution for playback on the timeline
what's spec for your Mac Studio? my IMac 2019 shutdown quite frequently during editing in final cut pro, till now I cannot find the reason, upgrading my Mac maybe the only solution.
I got the base model, and it can handle my 4K 60fps video edits really well. There's no need to convert to ProRes and I can just edit straight with the H.265 MOV files on Premiere Pro. But if you are doing a lot of color grading and applying multiple effects (noise reduction, stabilizer etc.) on the footages, it's safer to upgrade the RAM to 64GB.
Have u tried FCPX or davinci? Seem more optimization
