  • West Coast Swing / Modern Swing Int/Adv moves.
    West Coast Swing Intermediate Advanced Patterns.
    Including Baseball Throw.
    Two Handed Sugar Push with Rock and Go to Seesaw Sugar Tuck to Rt to Lf connection
    Rt to Lf Spinning Left Side Pass
    Wrap and Roll to Open Break with Baseball Throw
    NOTE: Leaders, when attempting these types of arm patterns, please consider your partner, their skill level, flexibility, and ability.
    This is something you should practice over and over until you really understand how it works.
    Followers, it’s always important for you to dance on time and use the natural rhythm of the elements. Being super attentive to leaders that try more intricate patterns with you, I call it, listening with your hands. As the leader gets to the end of the open break, you should have an awareness that something different it’s about to happen. Instead of rushing, realize that you are plenty fast enough and that being patient and calm in the moment often times will reveal what should happen next. You can always catch up, but going to quickly is never a good answer and potentially hurt your arm or theirs. if you feel like you’re in a bind, try to relax your arm instead of making it rigid and give in to the pressure to keep from hurting yourself.
    Leave questions or comments in the section below and let us know if there’s something you’d like for me to break down.

    Do you have any thoughts on steal dances in west coast swing?

    • @DAmicoDanceHouston
      @DAmicoDanceHouston  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, it can be a lot of fun. It’s obviously more fun and cooler when the leads care more about the follow instead of themselves. Newer dancers do it at the expense of the follow, whereas the experienced leaders are smart about it, and make it comfortable, and all of the transitions work. The harder, the transition and smooth, or you can pull it off, the color it is.
