  • This Eastern Screech-Owl box was installed on Westmoreland Land Trust (WLT) property just across the highway from Saint Vincent College, at St. Xavier Nature Preserve. It is intended for use by owls when roosting or nesting. However, an Eastern Red Squirrel moved in soon after placement. The box is attached to a tree trunk about 20 feet off the ground. It was placed on October 7, 2023.
