I always tried to do my best. To constantly outperform everyone; in fact thats what I'm doing all the time. Always giving 150-200%. Always going the extra mile.
But people will never acknowledge the effort you put into things. I dunno why but I've always been in a similar situation like he's singing about. Always focused but broke. Always "hated" by teachers or colleagues (although I always delivered good results).
Long story short: I was thinking about quitting everything. With everything I literally mean life. I'm overanalyzing things right now.
Thinking about what I could have done better; knowing that there's nothing that could've been done better.
I literally just came randomly across this song, and it made me rethink everything. It gave me energy, it gave me hope. Maybe y'all dont understand - I dont expect anyone to do, nor to read this boring ass comment.

Showing Brent Love all the way from South Africa. Dude has an amazing voice, first heard of him fro, "Crew" (and lets be real, that's a Brent record, because we all listened to it just to hear the chorus). Since then he's A.M Paradox EP has been on repeat, i listen to it religiously. Loved the Sonder EP aswell. The album took a while to grow on me, although "Gang Over Luv" is my favourite followed by "Talk 2 u"
As for the visuals this isn't at all what I expected, but i love it. It's multi-layered just like the Sonder - Too Fast video. You can;t just watch this video once. You gotta watch it over and over so you can catch the subtle nuances.
I'm also conflicted about Brent's rise to stardom. I hate that he's underrated but I don't want him to lose himself to the mainstream. Yet I know that no artist wants to make music for a niche crowd. He deserves to blow up, over and over again, just like that Cessena in the video.
