A visit to only private zoo in Nagaland

- The only zoo in Kohima, the much needed zoo in the capital city of Nagaland. There are limited fun places in the hilly slopes of Kohima and this zoo provides a relief space and pleasant atmospheres both for young and old especially during weekends.
Zoo direction: At High school find the old BRO/GRIEF camp opposite to Vishal, follow the unpaved vehicular road that leads to the west for around 1.5 km then you'll reach your destination down there. Look out for a small board on the right. You can also acess from tha IG stadium-T khel model village connecting road at lower High school colony.

We do not know who is the owner of this mini zoo but we really appreciate and if possible we must contribute some wild fruit trees for the wild bird.
That would be great! coz this the only zoo in our state capital... Many Kohimaian kids have never seen hornbill,deer... in real life...and when they visit this zoo they were really happy.. The owners are from Kohima village..Belho's..

At High school junction start from old BRO camp opposite to Vishal, take right follow the kacha road straight for around 1 km then you'll reach the destination down there. Watch out for the small and the only sign board on the right as seen in the video.

Well...ts is not the only zoo in the world..there are thousands of them.. I don't think if its not legal they will be maintaining one...I guess. How about selling of dogs, pigoens, frogs,insects,bees or caged birds... or airgun or any arms/ammunition in the market... if we talk of animal rights..
This Private Zoo is started by R.Belho, it started by rescuing animals and birds sold in the market,slowly people started to donate animals and that's how it grew.There are online references on the objective of the zoo for more details.
