Do you like Tsumugi? Why, or why not? 🤔

Well you see. I do like her. But there's the thing. She's underdeveloped as an antagonist so I hate on her like Sukuna hates Yuji

I love Tsumugi with both of her personalities (the mastermind and the kind one). honestly I loved how she kept twisting the ending and changing her mind which made the survivors even more confused and in despair

Well, I have a mixed feelings with her. I like her concept (as much as V3 ending concept), I like her talent and how she uses it in finale BUT there's few things I don't like about her:
      1) Voice acting (mostly English) - this tiny-whiny voice is ok for NPC she was for a most of time but when she reveals herself as mastermind and it's become annoying because IT'S JUST DOESN'T SUIT HER VILLAINOUS ROLE. I understand that she meant to be just some nerdy-plane-looney-fan and not some kind of ultimate evil but still can't you offer something more threatening than THIS?
      2) My main problem with her - it's not the way her twist was revealed but how it was established. Nohow. For the most of the game she's literally NOBODY to Shuichi, Kaito or Maki. She's just there. But it's would be better if she was close to us as much as Kaito or at least Maki. Then her twist would be more painful to both protagonists and players.
      3) Overally (well, it's not like it's her fault) but she just not as charismatic and interesting as Junko (or even Monaca). That wouldn't be a complaint if she didn't try to be like her. But again, she wouldn't be above Junko for me anyway.
And just for bonus - I would like to recommend you check Danganronpa Another fan games - both games has great masterminds who don't try be a new Junko.

Kodaka’s burnt the kitchen when creating Tsumugi, love how she told everyone she was so boring, but the game never wrote any scene to capitalise of this, like try and make jokes of the fact everyone forgets her or falls asleep when she talks. Just anything really

    • @Proxzia_

The game tells you she’s boring, and does nothing to make her not, lol. What was the point?

  • @paintedpig3021

A big reason I was surprised she was the villain is because I legitimately forgot she was there 90% of the time

THIS. tsumugi is actually so boring and forgettable to the point you barely even see her half of the game. I think that's how they expected shock value.

there are a lot of things they could have done better with the character but the main thing im disappointed about is that shes literally just junko. they build her up to be that normal girl whos basically an employee at a television show and yet she still ends up being crazy and all like "oh if danganronpa ends then my life has no meaning so might as well die"
it wouldve have been a hundred times better if she slowly realized her "script" started to go off rail and began to panic at the realization that the whole building was in fact going to be blown up. try to call for help or give any hint at all that a whole crew is supervising this and not just her. it would have been more satisfying too since were meant to break the rules in that ending, since she accepted it wholeheartedly it doesnt feel like we really made a change at all.

I think the creator should have scripted Tsumugi as a supportive character to Shuichi beside Kaito and Maki.... I mean they could’ve made her have a rivalry with Kokichi!! Just make her more involved in the investigations and class trials....! Have an argument armament, have rebuttal showdowns further least...!! Just *make her important* to the protagonist and ourselves just for all that to be torn apart with such depth just to be this badass psychological manipulator who merely toyed with Shuichi's feelings... Not just him but everyone remnant... The motivation doesn't have to be hidden all the time...!!
She had so much potential it sucks *hard*🔥... Could have gotten a redemption arc even! Imagine a reformed mastermind because that would've been lit💥
What do you think was her motive in the first place...?

    • @Proxzia_
      @Proxzia_  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

No clue about her motive, to be honest. They didn’t give enough context for us to really know 😫
But yeah, a redeemed mastermind could be quite interesting!

I mean in terms of why Tsumugi is fucked up if we believe what she said about the world (cause as Shuichi said she may have lied) she’s just a Dangaronpa fan like every other character in V3 before getting their new memories, I felt that Tsumugi was supposed to represent the world that used suffering for entertainment as well as what the other characters would have been, pre game Shuichi was making fanfiction for his own ultimate detective execution, the only diffrence between Tsumugi and pre game Shuichi is that Tsumugi stayed the same but Shuichi was changed. So yeah I felt that Tsumugi was supposed to represent how the world has become a messed up place because of Dangaronpa. Could she have been used better during chapters 1-5 definitely, but I disagree that her motivations are unexplained and tying it back to the theme of the game every character was a lie except Tsumugi who was the only person who kept their true self. Also just wanted to mention Tsumugi doesn’t actually care about despair outside its affect on the story she did purposely not vote so that hope would win in the end even though that failed

tsumigi has some potencial depths, its kinda a theory:
lets say that tsumigi is a participant of danganronpa 52, they show us that one person can go "free" with the first blood perk and that the two last students will graduate, but we know this is not true and that they will remain in the next game such as rantaro did, so tsumigi was one and the other one is prob kiibo. so yeah they or herself choose her as the mastermind and thats why she says at the end that she was the ultimate copycat, bc she wasnt the creator of junko, just another puppet of danganronpa that never could escape from its pupiteer

In terms of Tsumugi’s motives and why she is how she is, I think it’s inaccurate to say there’s no explanation. While they don’t go into Tsumugi’s personal situation, you must recognise that almost the entirety of the outside world in V3 adores Danganronpa, and you can see some of the comments coming from the audience are just as sadistic as Tsumugi’s. It’s not that everyone in the world is a psychopath, it’s that V3 is set in a dystopian world where when people are sent to the Danganronpa Killing Game and “overwritten” by the flashback lights, they are no longer considered real people to anyone anymore. Tsumugi is cruel and remorseless to the characters because she is a product of this dystopian society, which is said to have formed due to excessive peace in the world driving up people’s need for stimulation. She doesn’t view any of the cast as real people, so she has as much remorse terrorising them as the writers at Spike Chunsoft did when writing those scenes. She’s so excessively taunting and sadistic in some scenes because she’s being theatrical for the audience, as she trying to put on a good show.

Tsumugi is my favourite girl in the Danganronpa Series. I've had a crush on her ever since I first saw her. I also found both of her personalities to be endearing, in my opinion.

I feel like Tsumugi represents anyone who are overly obssess with fandoms that they become in a way psychopatically crazy for anything that involves that franchise.
I this case, she represents anyone who are crazy for Dangan Ronpa. In their world it was only mere fiction, but they love it so much they created a reality TV show based on it, and even implemented a true killing game. Basically "Big Brother", "Truman Show", and "Squid Games". That's why their are so many fangames in TH-cam and actual games inspired by it found in Steam and other indie games.
One thing I'm curious is, if Tsumugi was the mastermind, did she use her own money or someone else is funding this show? She love the series that she was ok joining the contestants, she even probably has ideas who will be the victim and culprit (thus she can avoid being killed in the game).
Yet broke the rules of the entire franchise herself. Despite being the "Blackened" (culprit) someone innocent took the fall, just to force the show to continue.
I think they made her role more of a background character to make her an unassuming and to differentiate her from the previous games and most character reveals. Examples are Junko? (the double), Kirigiri, Nanami and Maki (the partners), and Hajime (the protagonist) where 4 of them take the main stage.

I only love the idea of Tsumugi cosplaying whole franchise but that was literally it. To me she is my least favorite character in whole main 48 characters.
    She does literally ANYTHING
We barely refute her argument, never agreed her, she never did any rebutalls (yes Keebo and Himiko also didnt but at least we do agree with them for once) in SDR2 every survivor did a rebutal and agreement once. (Sonia has 5 agreements and 2 rebutals and she is least important survivor.)
She didn't do anything in class trials. She didn't do anything in storyline. She wasn't even a funny villain unlike Junko. She couldn't even be that. She wasn't a scary mastermind like YTTD floormasters or a personal mastermind like in DRA. Or a character who plays an active role in SDRA2. She is just a character to created to be mastermind and nothing else. Yes i like her cosplaying the whole frachise and making Danganronpa fans as an actual masterminds, however that's not about her character. That's why she is worser than both Hifumi and Teruteru for me.

Question, why isn’t she the mastermind she doesn’t look interesting. She could be an interesting character, but Tsukugi is pretty boring. Sure, ultimate cosplayer. I don’t hate her. I just hate how underutilize she is mainly because I probably haven’t done her free events, but I haven’t done free events yet.

I just hate how outside of anything else, she's just genderswapped Hifumi, which is a hell of a lot of missed potential because unlike the other two games, there's no fat character, which means that role could've gone to Tsumugi, even if nothing else is changed.
