i still go to chuck e cheese. im 16. i go there for the animatronics because im into robotics. its what actually helped me start building my own. unfortuntely most chuck e cheeses dont have the bots anymore but my local is one of the few that still does have them... at least until august of this year. it also has the last CU-1 stage in the whole world. the place is super nostalgic for me, i think its really sad how many fights are breaking out there and how much the place has changed in general. it probably wont even be around anymore in the next decade or so. the hype around the place has definitely died down. i also have a chuck e cheese stuffed animal from the late 70s-early 80s and its worth like $100 lmao. anyways w vid as always joe.

I BARELY remember it, so I must have been like 4 or 5 celebrating my birthday here. I saw this girl who was probably a year or so younger than me, and in an effort to make friends I hugged her. (I have what was at the time, called "high-functioning" Autism. So this, + being a child = I didn't know any better lol.) Her older brother, who I'm guessing had to have been like 7 or 8, still scary to a small child, saw this and immediately punched me a few times. I remember crying to my mom and very blurry mental images of my mom and his mom arguing, and seeing the police showup. From what I know now, basically all of my birthday guests were understandably terrified, and everyone left early. Yeah, its pretty sad :/
Side note if your wondering why we weren't being watched by our fellow adults as all of this was happening, I'm going to give you the same answer I was given when asking my mom the same question today: "Times we're different then, we didn't have to worry like we do now."

My grandparents tried to go to Chuck E. Cheese to get cheap pizza once. They didn’t have a kid with them, so they weren’t allowed in, but it’s still odd considering they even thought of that before going to a place like Little Caesar’s, which does have pretty affordable pizza.

One time at Chuck E. Cheese there was this Angry Birds arcade machine and I won a stage with only 1 bird and I had to wait so long for the tickets to come out. I also won the Jackpot on a Pink Panther machine and while it said I’d won an employee that passed by came over and gave me a fist bump. I felt so awesome the rest of that day just because of that fist bump he gave me lol.
When Dave and busters used to have physical tickets they weighed them instead of had a counter, I used to go to the bathroom and flick water on my bucket of tickets just to get that slightly more weight to get more tickets 🤣 alpha play
