As an Indian who's born and brought up in Mumbai, Maharashtra I felt so happy to see the dabbawalas getting the respect they deserve.
Also,hearing them speak Marathi 2:14 and 2:41 on a global platform made me tear up😭

In my town, we used to have an Indian restaurant called Dabbawalla and it was a living tribute to these amazing men who keep Mumbai's workforce fed. It featured photo murals depicting tiffins being delivered on bicycles, handcarts, headborne racks, trains and the iconic 3-wheeled autorickshaws. It's a poetic, chaotic-yet-orderly ballet of man and vehicle to get a hot lunchbox from Point A to Point B with 99.9% accuracy. The Dabbawallas are not only efficient. They're socially conscious. Some years ago, they implemented a "dabba sharing" program in which uneaten food, which would have otherwise been thrown out, is shared with poor families before the container is returned to the customer at night.

I think it's dhaba instead of dabba. In my place, small or local restaurants are called dhaba.

I am a customer of these dabbawalas. Actually, I live alone in Mumbai and work in a company. So I don't get enough time to cook and hiring a cook is not worth it. So I get my lunch at the right time in my office. They are punctual and the food quality is also good. Thanks Nas daily for covering this one!!

Or sometimes you can even order food from their service. They also provide their own food given those who live alone or have some other issues

I'm proud indian and I live in mumbai and a dabbawala customer, I have been having their food for 2 years, and their food never disappoint me rather they bring me huge satisfaction of having food. Thank you so much dabbawalas, your service is way way way better than online food apps.
