Had no idea Paul Frees served as narrator for this attraction when I first saw this as a teenager in the mid-2000s. I best knew him as narrator for Disney animated shorts like Donald in Mathemagic Land and Goofy’s Freeway Troubles.
I saw the original show at the Illinois Pavilion at the NY World's Fair in 1964 (I was 9 years old). The NY World's Fair also had the Carousel of Progress and Small World. These Attractions were moved to Disneyland after the Fair closed. This show featured the greatest Announcer/Narrarator of all time, Paul Frees, You may recognize his voice as the Ghost Host in the Haunted Mansion. His voice is also featured in other Disney Attractions (such as the Pirates of the Carribean, the Enchanted Tiki Room and the gone but not forgotten Disneyland Attraction Journey into Innerspace). Lincoln's voice was provided by the great Character Actor Royal Dano. He did many films including the Ten Commandments where he played Moses's Brother Aaron.
I believe in the color version of the Ten Commandments it was John Carradine. Maybe you're speaking of DeMille's original black and white version, which I've never seen
Thanks so much for sharing! David here from Sebring Florida I been a Disneyland fan and collector for over fifty years, When I was a boy in the 1960’s You had to wait in the lobby to get in and the theater was completely full, I wonder if today’s Guest even knows it is here. I think parents should take their children to see it, So they understand what America is about. I somehow wish Disney could promote this attraction more, This is one of the original attractions that Walt Disney himself supervised. As a suggestion for your next video could you please give a slow video tour of the lobby including the map and showcase of Disneyland memorabilia. Thanks for all your fantastic videos and have a magical day!😊
When I was a kid I loved this show. I called it the Lincoln ride and would tell my parents “I want to ride Lincoln!” And they would laugh for some reason
His words ring truer than ever. Amid a struggling nation trying to define liberty, we all claim we are for it. Our destruction is not coming from other countries, despite the numerous wars. It is coming from within. We are so divided as a nation, and those in power seemingly do not share the same passion for freedom and liberty as we do. We must choose what is right even if it isn't popular, which includes not chooser evil over evil. Instead we should unite, set aside differences and become one again. Mr. Lincoln also once said: "Do I not destroy my enemies when they become my friends?". Disneyland makes me happy knowing this is still here, and the staff inside are so passionate about telling me about the small details of it every time I step in. I hope it stays, as it is a reminder of the true American spirit.
Thank you for this. I was an attractions CM in early 2000, and this was one of my attractions. Back then Walt Disney’s office was displayed and the show was different with headphones.
My mom hasn't seen it since she was 🔟. LOL! I've seen it and neither has my dad or a +1️⃣ that I confidentially think about inviting due to the mentioning of Disneyland in my blurb for work at a commercial real estate company.
Great video, great attraction. Thank you for this. Does anyone know why they no longer display the portrait of the current sitting U.S. President in the hallway after you leave the attraction? They did this for many years, then all of a sudden stopped.
I always go and spend some time visiting my friend Garrett ( One of the Disney Cast Member’s ) and watching These Great moments in history! 😊👍❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” narrated by the Great “Paul Frees”🇺🇸😊👍❤️
It’s lowkey pretty sad and disheartening to know that if Lincoln was around today he wouldn’t be able to become a lawyer or much less even become president
I think they still would. There are still those that are fighting. Many are waking up to see that it's all been corrupted and rotting us from with in. Just like Lincoln said. Now that many have opened their eyes, the fight is still on. The elite won't win.
1 Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord; He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword: His truth is marching on. Refrain: Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on. 2 I have seen him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps; They have builded him an altar in the evening dews and damps; I can read the righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on. [Refrain]
The dude' holding a UFO? - is Architect Frank Lloyd Wright, next to one of his last works The Guggenheim Museum, NY, NY. Critics joked it looked like an upside down washing machine. My opinion is that the object he is holding meant to play on that criticism - a washing machine part maybe? Or hubcap.
@@johnpont1831 thank you so much!! Lucky you know so much about it. The last part seems like a stretch but a possibility. I thought it was a structure at Disneyland since they have the ufo things
Still my most favorite attraction in Disneyland ever since I was a child. Lincoln is a hero of mine and a great role model.
Its crazy how this lasted longer then most of disney world classics,
I always get chills when I hear the battle hymn of the republic when the thing ends
Still an incredible show all these years later.

Parents named me after this great man. One of if not the greatest American to ever live. RIP Mr. President
very touching. A shame how so few people were in attendance when I visited yesterday
I saw this yesterday. It was awesome. Wish more people would give it a go.
a great show while also being a place to go to get a break from the crowds
💚
Saw this last night. I almost cried
I just watched it again a few days ago to get out of the heat. Made me tear up.
I did cry.
If I ever get to Disneyland I will see this show. Great video. Thank you.
Once I would like to see a full house in the attraction! I enjoy it every time I see it!!

one of my absolute favorite animatronics ever
My most favorite attraction at any Disney park!

That was beautiful.

If they even remove this Im gonna be so mad! lol
Its a classic 👍
Oh no they won’t ever remove it. Walt Disney himself produced it, it’d be a disgrace if they removed it.
It’s been over a week since you’ve posted any new videos. I hope you’re both okay!
Sorry we just got a little busy this week with our other business ventures but this upcoming week there will be plenty of new vlogs 💚💚

Makes you wonder if he would make an effort even if he knew they'd win the war. Same with our founding fathers
I think they still would. There are still those that are fighting. Many are waking up to see that it's all been corrupted and rotting us from with in. Just like Lincoln said. Now that many have opened their eyes, the fight is still on. The elite won't win.
Gracias por compartir 🙏🏻
Great show wow amazing

I am closing in on the airport Crossing Border Xpress

That fuckin robot should run for president.
My favorite show

Awesome
Anyone know how the right portrait is at 17:58, dude holding ufo right of Barack and young bill gates holding a laptop

Didn’t they used to show all the presidents?
