They should have been taken to L.A. County Jail and booked, spent the night in jail, charged, bail, paid a $500 - $1000 fine and given 30 days of community service. Starting with ordered to go back to campus and cleen up the mess the left! They face NO CONSEQUENCES for their actions!

I’m sorry you guys had to go through that cleanup on a staged protest. The protest was completely unfair and disrespectful to students and admin. Unlawful assembly, trespassing, and vandalism. As a recent UCLA graduate, I know that would’ve been super stressful especially seeing finals are right around the corner.
When I went about 10 years ago UCLA had always condoned unwanted solicitors on Bruin Walk. It was out of control. The worst were the religious end-times hecklers. They called the females certain names that might get my comment banned if I write it.
Make the students clean it or be expelled. The majority probably didn't care about the issue they were protesting and just piled on for the "experience" and the outdoor slumber party

A useful figure to keep in mind is that UCLA's undergraduate population is HUGE, over 30,000 undergraduate students, plus another 10,000 graduate students. Even if there were a couple of hundred protesters, that's still only 0.5% of the total student population.

We in the U.S SHOULD be so very proud of students protesting, standing up stronger than ever before, for human rights not just at home but world wide & for your rights one day too. These students have the strongest sense of ethics, morals and what is right and wrong above any other generation in history. Institutions that helped them be confident people they now are, about the need for human & equal rights at home & around the world, should not be reprimanded, but be applauded. God Bless the US for the beautiful future generation we have which does not exist anywhere else in the world at this intensity level
