When you have an Italian Mom, EVERYTHING has been in tomato sauce...lol I love gnocchi. I've tried making different kinds of gnocchi, ricotta cheese gnocchi are really good and soft, easy to make and go well with a light butter sauce or tomato. I've even made them with my version of pesto. Fransesco Rinaldi was my Mom's go to jarred sauce when she got too old to make it for herself. They are so darned cute!! I got my pork roll today. It was still cold. It has a sell by date of 1/24 so I think it'll be fine. It came from a store in Wernersville, PA. We'll have it tomorrow, breakfast for dinner!

Mmmmm they sure loved their gnocchi. I make my own spaghetti sauce with either hamburger meat, or meatballs, onion powder, dried minced onion, or fresh onion, fresh or dried garlic, and fresh or dried basil, and I never add salt to it. And, I often serve it over either green beans or pasta, and even my grandchildren love it over green beans. It’s much healthier with the green beans. I was at my sons house for dinner one night and my daughter in law served spaghetti sauce over cooked yams. I wasn’t sure I’d like that combination, but it was actually VERY GOOD!!!🍝
Anna is such a good eater! I just love watching them eat and discover new foods. Some work and others wel, the girls let you know right away, don’t they 😀😀! I always looked for low salt and low fat. One of their favorites when they were a bit older was chicken or pork chops with a can of low fat/salt Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Celery soup and then baked. It was easy when I’d had a hard day at work and I had rice or noodles on the side with veggies of course. They still make that dish themselves. The meat comes out so tender!

Lower sodium is also good for the rest of us! We hardly ever eat processed foods due to high blood pressure! Finding low sodium items is not so easy! You do a good job explaining what they are eating and why - preemptively shutting down the haters!
I love how they hold the forks at the ready and go ahead and eat with their fingers especially licking the sauce. They both love pasta so anything you want them to eat that they don’t particularly like just stuff in pasta!!
Another successful meal!❤ Guin tried turning her nose up at the beginning, but after that first bite, she liked it and never stopped. Made my day watching them during my lunch hour.

I was at my sons house for dinner one night and my daughter in law served spaghetti sauce over cooked yams. I wasn’t sure I’d like that combination, but it was actually VERY GOOD!!!🍝

Anna is such a good eater! I just love watching them eat and discover new foods. Some work and others wel, the girls let you know right away, don’t they 😀😀! I always looked for low salt and low fat. One of their favorites when they were a bit older was chicken or pork chops with a can of low fat/salt Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Celery soup and then baked. It was easy when I’d had a hard day at work and I had rice or noodles on the side with veggies of course. They still make that dish themselves. The meat comes out so tender!

Lower sodium is also good for the rest of us! We hardly ever eat processed foods due to high blood pressure! Finding low sodium items is not so easy! You do a good job explaining what they are eating and why - preemptively shutting down the haters!

I love how they hold the forks at the ready and go ahead and eat with their fingers especially licking the sauce. They both love pasta so anything you want them to eat that they don’t particularly like just stuff in pasta!!
