you can just edit it and digitize the parts that weren't done yet. then you rearrange the sequence, it would be objects from the back, to objects in the front :)

How to make the thread not too thick?
You increase the spacing for example if its .38 you can increase it to .50 .70 .80 and you will get a more spread out fill 👍🏼🙂
