Courtney is probably the most underrated metal vocalist. I can’t think of another metal vocalist that gets less praise than she does that’s as good as she is
I have yet to find a live performance of The Summit. It may be the least heavy of their tracks, but it's so groovy, easy to enjoy, and overall just a bop for anyone. Hope that they perform this on a live Sirius XM performance.
Listening to this song i felt like i was in a forest in the middle of the night where everything was illuminated by the Moonlight and i was running trying to find something very emotionally valuable for me. What a trip man! Ty Spiritbox
@@chozin2408 is that what she's using to get that kind of robotic effect? I've been wanting to use something like that on a song I've been writing and have no idea where to start
You know, I have this silly hobby where whenever I finish reading or watching a book, anime, comic, series, etc., and the story gets stuck in my head, I have fun looking for songs that go along with it. Weeks ago I finished reading Tower of God, and because the story amused me, I jumped into my silly hobby and this song appeared on my spotify while I was looking for new ones. When I read the lyrics I was fascinated by how perfectly it works with the story! It's like the person who wrote it had just finished reading ToG and thought "I need to make a song about this". And funny enough, Sun Killer was on the same playlist and again there I was fascinated by the lyrics perfectly befitting the same story. This habit of mine always ends with me finding songs that become a permanent part of my playlist and I love it!
I often try to find songs to match my drawing mood, set them on replay for a bit and -given they suit the picture i'm aiming for- then get to working on it. I find motivation and inspiration both in listening to music of many genres, and for some reason I have trouble drawing without any music or even the right kind. And I must say that Sun Killer is definitely one of those songs that help.
This chorus is so melodic, groovy, heavy and catchy altogether!! Yeah I'm most probably gonna spam this album on repeat for the next couple of weeks until I forget how other music sounds like.
Court's melody-work is so catchy and original. You guys keep setting the bar higher and higher with each song and somehow surpass expectations. This album is AOTY worthy.
@Ryan No, other random people refer to her as Court. I have friends that use Court. You want me to call Mike, Michael? It's just an habitual nickname.
Definitely tied with Välde by Humanity's Last Breath for AOTY. But with Vildhjarta releasing masstaden under vatten in october that may change everything...
@@static_motion You might like Hlb, and I love it too, but I wouldn't say something as niche as that can compete with Spiritbox rn. Välde is glorious tho, I remember the hype every time they released a single, everyone was like, cant be harder than the last one can it? Boom. :')
The Summit, Secret Garden and Constance are my Top 3 for this album, Courtney's cleans are so soothing and easy to listen to, and the Album as a whole is great and well worth the wait after all the Single releases! 👍
I have discovered this band few days ago. They did the first part of Ghost's concert at Strasbourg, FRANCE. And that was a great surprise. Since this day, I listen this song again and again. One of my favorite, I think. Thanks for this, I needed it.
I don't think I've had an album make me feel the way Eternal Blue has made me feel. I don't think I've ever had an album that made me cry because of how beautiful it is. I fucking love this band.
Of the songs not released prior to the album (ie, those without music videos), this is my favorite. To the point that I wish it had a music video. So freaking catchy.
Such a fantastic band trying out a new sound in metal. Really stoked to see them getting more popular too. As much as I love old school thrash and death metal - the genre is in dire need of such innovation. Can’t wait to see this band live in U.K. whenever they come 🤘🏻
@@ericthehighlander Not an opinion. I dunno who deserves album of the year but until Mike starts letting Bill record bass.. Eternal Blue Is missing a lot of personality and It shows.

10 years or so ago I thought no new bands would blow me away (child of the 80's). Since then I found Jinjer, Semblant, In This Moment, Ignea, The Pretty Reckless and now Spiritbox. I've never been so happy to be wrong!
Your lyrics speak volumes, Spiritbox is real art. Courtneys voice is a blessing the world has yet to fully appreciate.

Her voice is so addictive.
It sure is....
Yes it is. This whole band is. She hits that perfect tone that is so soothing.
Her voice is my lullaby

They never play this live for some reason? Best song they've done.. baffling
cant stop loving it! 🖤
That chorus is beautiful 😍 😮, also the best part is at 2:42
that chorus is just so damn catchy. just perfection
For me this is one of those songs your brain forces you to listen to over and over again until you drain it of all possible dopamine.
You're not lying, I'm listening to it for the 10th time in a row.
This, is the most accurate comment.
I couldn't agree with you more... If we were in a ship right now.

Favorite off the Album! Love from India.
These guys mastered the art of a good chorus
This song is gorgeous. The way she chose to sing this is crazy. Just wow!
I love so much Zev’s groove and swing. A Killer drummer!
I don't remember the last time I heard an album where every track is THIS GOOD
that little break at 1:33 is just perfect

For me it’s between like every single one off this album, they know their melodies and how to do instrumentals over them to make them catchy as hell

OK, the album's amazing, full stop.
This track though? Absolutely sublime.
