Some shelters really are awful, always best to find the good shelters in your area and help support them.
I was having a really rough day a couple of weeks ago and saw our local shelter were looking for someone who could drive to the animal hospital 45 minutes away to pick up one of their kitties who had an operation the previous day. It really cheered me up to give the kitty a ride 😅
Most shelters are almost always accepting donations for things they need for the animals
