The opening drone shot is like out of a fairytale...how are you and here we had the greatest snow storms in Toronto...hopefully this year we see the restrictions ease up so we could travel..
Hey Dave, good to hear from you. Yeah, it took me a while to get down to Alberobello for some reason. I liked it, but always enjoy those towns near water the best. Things here are going well. I filmed a hike last weekend and filmed my first youtube short last night. :) I've been going out metal detecting a lot lately. I haven't been filming too many walks mainly just to get caught up on my walks from last summer. I'll start filming a lot more here in the Spring. The weather here has finally made a turn for the better, sunny all week! Hope you are doing well up north.

Yay Isaac. It looks like 99.🌞Different kind of architecture. Pointed roofs and many white buildings and NO GRAFFITTI. Interesting a ladder between roofs? Reminds me of videos of Greece.🇬🇷
Yeah, it was tough. I think that was the hottest day of my trip down to Pugilia. I had planned to film a few more towns there but I left and drove north for some cooler weather. :) I think the ladders are just there for decoration now but they were used to reach the lofts, sometimes from an outside but usually from the inside of the trullo. yeah, the white walls definitely have Greek feel to them. It's an interesting place...but I always prefer the towns that are surrounded by water.
The trulli , limestone dwellings found in the southern region of Puglia, are remarkable examples of drywall (mortarless) construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region. The trulli are made of roughly worked limestone boulders collected from neighbouring fields. Characteristically, they feature pyramidal, domed or conical roofs built up of corbelled limestone slabs.
You do such a great job on these. This town seems to me a beautiful heat sink, sorely in need of some larger trees in the city center. I can't imagine how hot this must be in the summer, and I live in Florida. I guess in a way the houses are the trees.
Another thing the bright warm sunshine and food with lots of spicy herbs makes them somewhat different from European countries more close to South America style

I am glad you enjoyed the walk. The town is much larger than this small area that I took a tour of. The rest of the town is more modern. The trulli section of town is all tourist based. Much of their economy is based on that, but also on agriculture. I understand though how it gets a bit tiring to watch after a while. Thanks for watching!

Such a concrete jungle!!! Nature, gardens & forests are missing here. That's why Bali, Vietnam, Krabi and more natural habitats are becoming so famous tourist attraction specially after covid.
Great stuff, as usual. Three things that I liked or were otherwise interesting: 1. The two girls walking in unison down the 'love' steps need to be the bread in a Ron M sandwich. 2. I learned that there is such a thing as an 'ancient' river. Is the river Cana geologically ancient? Is it still there, but just dry? Is it culverted over? I still have questions about that. 3. The sundial on the front of the C&D Basilica reads 2pm (shadow straight down), but the clock says 1pm. If there is daylight savings time in effect it would account for a 1-hour discrepancy, but the clock would be ahead, not behind.
