    Jesus, if I tried to do this I already know I’d mess it up and take 20 hours to figure it out. Thanks a bunch.

    Hey I am a beginner to Revit 2018 (for college)
    How did you create the first part (before the roof)?
    Thanks :)

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi THUNGUNSPRO, the part before the roof is a mass.
      Here are the basic steps for this video:
      1. Architecture -> Component -> Model In-Place -> Mass
      2. Reference -> Spline Through Points -> draw some splines
      3. Select all the splines -> Create Form
      4. Adjust the mass by moving each reference point -> Finish editing the mass
      5. Architecture -> Roof -> Roof By Face -> Click on the mass -> Create Roof
      6. If you need to create a glass roof, you need to set the panel size and mullion
      PS: Roof By Face only works on Mass and Generic Model.
      Please let me know if you have any more question.

      BIN HE hi. I'm trying this, but it seems we (or I) can't click on the mass after clicking roof by face.

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not too sure, have you clicked on the tick to finish the mass?

    For anyone using this in Revit 2025, use the model line or else 3D edit would not work

      Thanks for your feedback. I watched it again and I think it will work. However, I noticed that the step of creating a divided surface is redundant.

    Did everything up to when you switched to 3D view, however when i select on of the nodes I do not get the option to modify it in the x, y or z directions with the colored arrows like you were able to. Tips?

      You may have used the Model Line instead of Reference Line when you model your Mass.

    Hello, can you make the details the of the frame and profile of the roof you made?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you mean the profile of the millions? Yes, you can change them in the Type Properties of the sloped glazing.

    hi, i followed all the steps but when i add the details about the panels it give me the following error:
    "Changes have been made that cause a curtain wall with type driven grid lines to exceed the maximum allowed number of type driven lines (200 in direction (1) and 200 in direction (2)). If you really need this many type driven grid lines, please split the affected wall before proceeding."
    can you please help me out?

    How can we do shop drawing (as built) for construction ?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe this is more for concept design. To really make it work, we need the input from structural engineer.

    Thanks! I wonder how to make a hole in that roof

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, after you create the form of the roof surface, create another form for the hole, select it and change it from solid to void, it will automatically cut a hole in your roof surface form, then you can create the roof with a whole useing the roof by face. Let me know if you couldn't figure it out. :)
