Russia had contributed 52% of German gas imports in 2021. In 2022 Russia "temporarily" cut deliveries via the Nord Stream 1 pipeline successively by 60%, then 80%, with flows falling to zero at the start of September after the line was damaged. Nord Stream 2 which was completed in 2021, but never turned on was also damaged. As a result Germany obtained only 22% of its gas supply from Russia in 2022.

@David Atkinson it's difficult to answer exactly how many people the Klan murdered.....considering they also had members serving as police officers, judges, and in other political offices so it was easy for them to cover up their crimes. Before you call conspiracy, there are several race riots like East St. Louis 1917, Rosewood Florida, and of course Greenwood District Tulsa Oklahoma where white mobs ransacked Black communities murdering dozens or hundreds of people and forcing everyone else to flee and during all of this the police and national guard for the most part stood by or took their time to halt the violence. And yes the Klan was involved both directly with Klansmen being present and indirectly via their white supremacists ideology being the motive of said racist white mobs.

The Tea Party crowd was echoing this ideology back in 2009. You could visit any of the conspiracy theory forums and see entire conversations back then, out in the open, people discussing what would accelerate a collapse of societal systems and allow "their group" to take over. This is the same ideology Charles Manson espoused.
The Tea Party never went away, it just splintered into the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, a dozen other far-right extremist groups, and the current crop of Republican politicians. This ideology was allowed to spread out of those dark corners of the internet and into social media. They've had ten years of recruiting, across Facebook, Twitter, TH-cam, and various gaming platforms where they radicalize boys into their ideology.
The modern Republican party is just the political arm of this extremist movement and people need to work this out quickly. Pay attention to what Republicans are doing right now. They are systematically eroding and dismantling security and defenses at the Capitol for a reason.
But the Democrats keep pretending that they can work with them.
A lot of the fascist groomers have been running into trouble these days: Alex Jones, Andrew Tate, Jordan Petersen, Return of Kings are all seeing drop in engagement and/or legal troubles. America is very trend driven. It seems like the whole MAGA/Alpha male thing is starting to peak because it has gone through the playlist now about 10 times without any new material.

We've been warned: all utilities etc. need to step up their security systems.
The amount of infrastructure out there is absolutely staggering. It just isn't realistic. For exemple, you don't need to take out a data center to take it out of action, you just need to cut the fiber somewhere downstream... And the problem is that there's hundred of thousands of kilometers of fibers out there. The cable was actually cut in my city a little over a decade ago. All it took was somebody with garden shears. What the US needs to do is to start calling out theses peoples and rooting them out. The US also needs to deal with the gun lobby. The amount of guns out there is absolutely insane.

Maybe this shoiws my age, but I remember when the Weathermen adopted the same strategy and the Red Brigades in Italy did as well. The referecne tothe Unabomber is significant. Each wanted to overthrow the 'power elites' in the name of 'the people' (either the proletariat or white people).
James, I remember it all well. I campaigned for Nixon in 1967. The Dems were a mess, the first real electoral split in the Dem party after Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act. We were mired in Nam, and hundreds of coffins were coming in every day stuffed with pure white heroine delivered to Dover AFB. There was no political representation for the progressive left, and the far left were reverberating from the 1950's McCarthyism.
This resulted in political disobedience and civil unrest on the left generally. They took a desperate path when the road forward was clearly to sign up everybody in the movement into a voting bloc, and put forth candidates to win representation. They turned away, in disgust, from the working process of Democracy... And that was wrong.
Today's GQP have none of these excuses, not one.
Not a good idea for groups to taunt African Americans. They will retaliate..not might retaliate. I lived on the West Coast in the 1990s. Anyone at least in thier 30s aught to remember that one.

I believe most major hospitals have their own power generators. They have to be able to function during or after extreme weather events.
But they're meant to be temporary. If these terrorists get their s#!t together, they actually could cause more permanent outages that would exceed the capacity of those emergency generators. Luckily, most of them are dumb as a bag of hammers (apologies to useful hammers for the comparison)
