When it comes to video games I don't actually like cliffhanger endings unless it's a major series. The reason being that just as we saw here, many of them end up unresolved due to the developers scrapping sequels. It is a huge pain to invest in a story and never get a resolution.
Ellie's great and all, but it would be wrong for her to be the one to defeat the necromorphs/bretheren moons. It should be Isaac who was there literally from the first Dead Space to finish it. As players, we've been with Isaac screaming, running away from and blasting necromorphs from day 1. Dead Space, in a lot of ways, is Isaac's story. Having to play someone else for no good reason just doesn't feel right.
Advent Rising. It was written by Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game) and ended with a cliffhanger and "To be continued..." I'd kill for the rest of the story, even just in book form.
I thought everyone knew the Shadow Of The Colossus one. It was a prequel to ICO after all. And Steve Burnside, I thought it was always known he was dead? Wesker took his body, I don't even recall him saying he'd "resurrect him", just that he took it for the samples. As for Sly, honestly, it's tragic that series died. It was a great game series and deserved better than what it got. Sadly, while me and the cult that follows his sneaky ways would've loved a revival, the masses didn't feel the same and cast him aside after his PS2 era. So the mysteries of the Thievius Raccoonus die with us, I suppose.

Dead Space 3's ending is completely fine. We don't always get/need the happy ending. It's a cosmic horror series and Earth being completely fucked at the end is ok. I feel like people don't like it because it's a "downer" ending but the series wasn't really happy go lucky in the first place lol
Technically it doesn't have an answer, but the end of Bulletstorm was such a painful tease of a cliffhanger because the series got axed after the first title.
Playing Coop as Ellie and Isaac in Dead Space 4 would be amazing. I just hope the game makes coop truly optional, unlike DS3, where the enemy encounters were designed around coop, so if you played single player, you were often swarmed by enemies from every direction. It also wouldn't let you play bonus side missions if you were solo. DS4 could have a ton of potential

I’d honestly argue Red Dead Redemption was left unanswered. After the events of the first two games, Jack winds up taking after his father, the one thing John fought so hard not to let happen. We know at some point in between, he becomes an author, but there’s so much more to his story that could be told. John was supposed to be the last cowboy, but Jack took that from him so that he could get revenge for 15 years worth of story.
Apollo Justice, while ending sorta happy was a cliffhanger about the future of the justice system...then Dual Destinies opens up w/ the fark age of law and Nick getting his badge back...so they skipped over what happened w/ the new justice system to fall back on the old system, presumably.

Star Wars Republic Commando, that cliffhanger set up the sequel so beautifully... it still pains my heart that there isn't a sequel for that game. It is still hands down my favorite game. I felt like the mechanics were ahead of the times.
sly cooper could definitely get a resurgence if creators talked about it more fully. I have heard about it a lot but never played it. the way everyone talks about it sounds like its strictly stealth mechanics. there's a lot of other aspects to the game i see in this footage that I haven't seen in other, like the combat usually only looks like stealth kills. the footage in this video is the only reason im interested in sly cooper, its not what i thought it was.

Lol, I loved the Deadspace franchise, but actually stopped parkway through 3. I wasn’t aware of the pay to upgrade weapons mechanic (I don’t read/watch the news, and I have no social media presence), and the first time I went to upgrade my weapon, I was so disgusted I instantly quit.
So sad RE Code Veronica will most likely never be remade because of it depicts a cross dresser character that happens to be the villain and that will not fly these days no matter how good and in desperate need of a remake is

I was probably the only person that liked the Awakening ending of Dead Space 3. I thought that having Isaac and company die at the end would of then make the 4th game close to how Dead Space 3 had ships that you went in blind trying to find resources and information. This would of brought back the franchise to its roots, maybe with another silent protagonist that is just trying to survive as necromorphs are now the majority and humans the minority.

TFU 2 kinda sucks because it was like 4 hours and if I remember right, there was ONE choice? Literally the end. But in TFU, you had like 6 choices or something. So TFU 2 was basically just a downgrade in every way. It should be obvious that's why it failed, and not because people dislike the characters or anything. I'd LOVE a TFU 3. But they need to make it an UPGRADE upon the 1st, not a downgrade lol. Especially not a downgrade compared to TFU 2.
Ya the whole Valhalla Desmond thing just made me hate what assassins creed has become even more. Like wtf my dose he feel bad about Lucy’s death again when in 3 they couldn’t shut up how he decided to kill her because she was a traitor and was going to get everyone killed. While it would be nice to get a dead space 4 after 3 pulled a RE 5 and just.. didn't feel like a horror title. I would take just a book or something that in universe tied up the series in a nice little bow though.. a full on sequel is not nessecary.
The dead space remake seems like an attempt to act like the first game didn't knock it out the park.if they make a 4 I doughty it will be the original vision or team. I don't feel failed sequels and DLC truly qualify as answered cliff hangers. True, the writers might have had a planned ending, but if it is not out there somewhere, it is not truly answered.

So TFU 2 was basically just a downgrade in every way. It should be obvious that's why it failed, and not because people dislike the characters or anything. I'd LOVE a TFU 3. But they need to make it an UPGRADE upon the 1st, not a downgrade lol. Especially not a downgrade compared to TFU 2.

Ya the whole Valhalla Desmond thing just made me hate what assassins creed has become even more. The dead space remake seems like an attempt to act like the first game didn't knock it out the park.if they make a 4 I doughty it will be the original vision or team. Just to point out, we're still waiting for the wave 4 dlc for XB3, so some questions may be answered in it - who knows. However XB x didn't sell all that well due to the wii U not being as popular.

I don't feel failed sequels and DLC truly qualify as answered cliff hangers. True, the writers might have had a planned ending, but if it is not out there somewhere, it is not truly answered.
