Feeling safe part 1: Help your dog to feel safe

    Thank you for your wise words Jill. My Madge growls at me when I have to move her over at night to get into bed. I never try to move her if she is asleep. She has never bitten me, and once she has moved over, and not growling, I tell her she is a good girl, and she goes to sleep. She also growls, if I move my feet in the night! She is on top of the duvet, over the other side of the double bed, and my feet are under, and nowhere near her. I have never hurt her with my feet, or anything, so I do not know where this has come from? She is fine if I stroke her on the bed, and I do not think she has any health issues. xxx

      I imagine she can still sense you moving as the weight will shift and move the mattress. she's reminding you it disturbs her!

      But I am not disturbing her, when I ask her to move over, when she is awake, and I need to get into bed, and she really growls at me?!

      @@jillychandler you understand that, but it's your adult human interpretation. It may be a little beyond her capacity for logical reasoning unfortunately
