Thanks so much for the documentary. Am so delighted with these historical moments
people say he spent 27 years in power n did little development. but I say, he kept our country peaceful. stable, open door policies he initiated , Liberia was respected than near n abroad. thsml you for this documentary
This historic video took tears from my eyes….. Liberian where more united, organized than now.
By recognizing our traditional chiefs. Clearly shows that he was the people president. A great unifier .
I wish Liberia could come back to her glorious days.
thanks for sharing, very inspiring.
Wow!!!!! Sweet Liberia
This is so important for people to know where this country came from to where she is today. Thank you very much.

Good documentary
Liberians must come together as one, just to look forward to the light of a brighter future!
The Sweet land of Liberty. Home sweet home.
The queen was amazed n intrigued by the reception by this little civilized black republic. Something she has never seen in any black African country on the continent.
❤❤❤
Oh Liberia. Where is the glory , where is thy leadership mantle you once had? Oh Liberia where are you today amongst the committee of nations? Oh mama Liberia
this was little America In Africa back than.
Absolutely
This is what a Inauguration balls should look like or close to and not that mess that just took place with Weah.
😂😂😂😂
You spew out rubbish and don't know what you are talking about.
Good legacy
Country was better off with Americos in charge no doubt but they were too caught up in appearances.
😂😂😂You have to understand the political game. If the West is not in charge, destruction and mayhem will follow suit, which is the African narrative. This is so true for countries with natural resources. If you notice, countries with the least amount of natural resources have the least amount of problems ( this by design).
Should have been a democracy with everyone involved.
Satisfactory video...When other African leaders were busy enlarging their countries, Liberian President were too busy smoking Cuban Cigar.....
At this time there were only a few independent African countries and the rest were attempting to gain independence, so how were they enlarging compared to what Tubman was doing?
Tubman, always the master of pump and pageantry, but to what end? He always needed to rub shoulders wit non-natives to show what a huge congoman he was, go figure! Yet...
The natives were not just prepared to take over the leadership of the country due to extreme power greed, disunity among themselves and the same rampant corruption they advocated against. I think the Americo-Liberian was the lesser evil of the two.
Agreed!
Bullshit!
You are a complete disgrace to your people. There were many highly educated natives working in the government that could also rule Liberia and do better than Tubman but they were all suppressed.
@@kanyeakwehoulaye9728 Not bullshit your people are stupid.
can you imagine the nonsense u are spewing ?
These celebrations are not considered as important anymore; Instead lavished political conventions that are sometimes nonsensical
A modern caste system at that time.
Hail Americo liberians
They built it and destroyed it now who to blame ?
Samuel K. Doe and civil war
Thanks to the U.S.A for what they're supper good good at. Distraction of others countries.
The native tribals of Liberia who hated the African American leaders
