Huell was such a great representative of what, IMO, CA is all about. Didn't see race, gender, financial status or any of it. He was always about the people. He could walk ANYWHERE and talk to ANYONE. Always respectful and always interested. The man had a gift.

Huell Howser, was a person who could not be turned down or away, his approach was to lock and hold you down, leaving no time to get away was one of a kind not much people have almost made you feel likely he was a relative he is a definition of a good white man who was not judgmental not afraid to learn, interact with other people's cultures he was worth more than any gold itself RIP to him.

Huell and the Cali Gold shows are a gift for anyone who appreciates that time period and California life.

Cool video, I haven't been to a lowrider car show since the 1990's, the Bikini competition was my favorite event at the show along with who ever was performing music at the concert.
Special thanks to mom dad and sister, . That is a man and a real lady to remind him ❤
I love this guy and his episodes. I specially liked this one.
I started to watch him about 20 years ago, he had already been on a long time. I still come across episodes i've never seen and spend covid going through every episode I could find. From comments and having watched so many, no one ever said this wasn't one of his better episodes. Every episode is great.

California here in Sept 2023 wants to outlaw classic cars driven in their state 1978 and older, and especially in certain geographical areas. But it’s for your health. “Surveys” mailed out asking for presently owned makes & models, odometer readings, and asking where and how often you drive your classic. Huge “progressive” GOV progressively becoming more authoritarian.
