I’m waiting for the Black Friday deals coming up since I have a few cars I’d like to convert to this style drain.Still undecided on which one. ValvoMax, Stahlbus, or Votex. Thanks for the video!
Great video Bill. Just finished watching your installs of three “no mess” oil drain plugs: Vortex, No Spill Solutions, and ValvoMax. Do you have a favorite yet? Thanks for the great content.
Thanks for watching. My favorite one so far is the valvomax because it comes with the dump bag. The other two you have to use a drain pan that’s oily and smelly. I know that sounds weird but I live in a condo townhome so I have to keep all my car stuff in the basement. The dump bag from valvomax stays sealed and doesn’t stink up my basement like a bucket with oil residue in it. And the cats won’t accidentally lick it. Volvo max feels most durable between the three as well. Hope this helps. Please like and subscribe
I’m using a MITYVAC 7400 to extract the oil out of my Equinox. It actually gets it all, - 5 quarts out , Five in. Maybe later you could add one to your arsenal !
Did they buy the patent for the old Fram Sure Drain system (which i have used and still use)? Would be interesting to see how much old oil (if any) remains in the pan using the Votex valve compared to using the factory plug.
🤣🤣🤣. How to Say you know nothing about cars without actually saying you know nothing about cars 👆🏼. That minuscule amount of surface rust won’t make the engine fall out. I can tell you never been to the rust belt before. Thanks for tuning in. I love a good laugh😂😂😂
I’ve heard good things about those ones. I like the cleanliness of these valves and it’s one less tool I need. Plus now that I don’t need to for fully pop the drain plug with a wrench I don’t even need to jack the vehicle up. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Please like and subscribe
which do you like the best? valvomax or the votex? have you tried the fumoto? id like to grab one of these they all seem similar and have people who like them and dislike them! thanks bill
I have not tried the fumoto. However it is on my list for an eventual video. I prefer the valvomax so far over the votex simply because the valvomax had an available drain bag so it stores nicely without having to to clean a drain pan. Also the valvomax has a longer thread base so you have to twist a couple more times which is more reassuring that it will stay in. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe
It’s very light. Never actually weighed it up though. The fumoto is next on the list. I email the companies one at a time and request a free demo unit. The three I tested were all free. So I just have to email them maybe in spring to see if they will send a free demo. Got a lot of videos to do before that one. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe.
You will get dirty on the initial install of the valve of course. But going forward it will be mess free for all future oil changes. Also no drain valve manufacturer has ever claimed it will make the job faster. Not sure where you heard that. We are all in such a hurry. Oil changes must be 3 minutes so we can get going again. Then people complain their car is failing. Let’s not rush our oil change. I let it drain slow. While I wait I clean my MAF sensor and air filter. Fill my tires up and give the underside of the car a brief inspection.
My tundra drain plug is on top of my skid plate and when oil drain slows it lands on the skid plate. The Valvomax solved this problem. These types of drain adapters are great.
@@raypalermo1603 the biggest advantage is not having to deal with an oil drain pan afterwards and not having to deal with oily cardboard. Just drain into a container and put it out on the street on trash day (after calling your garbage service and letting them know).
Every car is different. Everybody’s driving conditions are different. We are in southern Ontario where we use salt brine in the winter. Many cars suffer. Thanks for sharing.

I haven’t tried stahlbus yet. Between votex and valvomax I prefer valvomax. Much higher quality and comes with the drain container as well.

@@BillOfAllTrades2016 Awesome! Thanks for the input. Soon, I’ll purchase a few of these ValvoMax plugs for my vehicles.
Excellent. No worries. You will be glad you did.

Yes perhaps in the near future and see about getting my hands on one of them.

I am more worried about the rusted frame and how long before the engine falls out.

I have a Fumoto valve on my Equinox. Very handy

Looks like your using a K&N filter. Unless your on a track, Mobile 1 filters are made just as well if not better and don’t cost as much.
The K&N filters cost me $7 CAD. I bought 6 of them. Can’t get cheaper than that. Thanks for watching. Please like and subscribe.

Seems like a great idea.
Yes they are great.
How heavy is the valve? and why not the fumoto?

Votex is Made in the USA. My main reason for purchase.

For 45dollars your still getting pretty dirty and not sure if it makes the job go much faster.

My 40yo Datsun doesn't have that much rust under it.
