Grantham is my home town. I haven't been there for possibly 30 years. I'm surprised how much of the town that I remember still survives: not just the the road layout but the buildings (though the shop fronts have changed).
The glimpse of the Kings School reminded me of my unhappy adolescence, ruined by the vile bully Huggins. Within a couple of years of his departure the school was transformed beyond recognition.
Perhaps I shall revisit the town someday. It does mean a lot to me.

I used to live in Grantham, I have a lot of good memories of the place yet when I lived their I couldn't wait to leave1 Oh by the way that's where Reubin Cole used to live as you drive up Castlegate on the corner. I'm into kiss now too yet I used to love Rush more back then.

Funny reading this because he’s my cousin. The stone mason attached was their family business. It’s the oldest business in Grantham I think that trades under the same name: G.H. Linnell

Town centre. The '90's. Meathead Central. Any given Friday and Saturday evening.
Faces (Faeces) 'Fun' pub. Malt Shovel. King's Arms. Market Cross (horrible, just horrible). Jasper's (dire meatmarket). Hogshead. Black Dog. Gatehouse. Blue Pig. Beehive. The 'Pit'. Tudor Rose.
Those were the days.

Still looks like the depressing dump I left over 25 years ago. The only good thing in that town was the Cheques pub when Sid used to own it . I bet that’s been totally ruined 🙄

This has got to be a fake, I can't remember any sunshine in G Town during 07. and where is all the traffic & road works ? I even thought I saw a Policeman ! so this is definatly a fake

Now all the shops are barbers or charity shops and there are brown people everywhere. Depressing change in just 13 years. Sad times.
