Granville is a very interesting man and what a fantastic insight he gives in to how the power industry has changed over the last forty years or so. Great video.
The sheer scale of change is extraordinary.
Very interesting video. Many thanks
And now its nearly gone
And now it has gone
Granville is a bull shitter.... The unions were the NJIC (National Joint Industrial Council) And were in the pocket CEGB and an X communist Frank Chaple ... The Ferry Bridge four were sacked for trying to organise a single Union for the power industry in the 70,s . The whole industry was and still is free of any real trade union threats.... As for how important he was as a station manager ? I quote my station manager who said " If i went on acruise for a month nothing would change ",but if A key worker went . Somebody like A turbine driver or a boiler opperator it would affect generation of power .
