The same method can be applied to a Turks head mandrel as well thank you so much for these videos one of my favorite TH-camrs thank you for all that you have taught me

Those are called “brad point” drill bits. Another time saver would be to clamp a piece of wood at least half the thickness of the pipe to the drill press table. Measure from the drill point over half the diameter of the pipe and place the edge of the wood there when you clamp it. When you drill through the top of the pipe, just keep going and drill the opposite side at the same time, then slide the pipe forward to the next hole and repeat, etc.. If you are making multiple mandrels, screw the piece of wood to a piece of plywood and mark a line squared off of the first board, and mark a location on that line for a hole half the diameter of the pipe from the edge of board 1. You can use that hole to locate the jig on your drill press table, then using the first line as the starting point, mark on the plywood where the end of the pipe will be for drilling each hole. Takes much longer to explain than it does to do, but it’s a huge timesaver because all you have to mark on the pipe is two lines showing the centerlines of two rows! Great video!
Nicely done and useful. Just one critique. "Mark" is obviously not a native English speaker, and he continually uses the term "opposite" when he should say "parallel". Once you adapt to this quirk in his speech understanding what he is doing goes much easier.
You say 3/8" but you were measuring centimetres. Don't pander to the Yanks! 8-) A metal saw is a bit of overkill for PVC. My local hardware store has ratcheting PVC pipe cutters that do the trick much more cleanly than a saw.
I reckon that most people have no need for a ratcheting PVC pipe cutter, but will have access to, or own, a saw. Buying the ratcheting tool is an expensive extravagance for the vast majority of us. I know that the handy people amongst us may consider buying the cutter which would come in handy for some basic plumbing jobs around the home aswell as making this kind of mandrel, but for most, it's too much wasted money

This is so simple yet one of the coolest things I've seen all day. Thanks bro!!!

Mark make a video on how to use the mandrel. I loved the video, as usual clear and concise.

Superbes explications, un grand merci pour votre implication.
Clear directions appreciated. Thankyou.
Excellent Video Marco, its given me a great guide line into making this mandrel, Thankyou..
Excellent tutorial! Thanks for showing the procedure. Looking forward to the knotting.
This is fantastically clever. Thanks!

Thumbs up for your comment. Truly appreciate it. 👌🏻👍🏻
i'll be using a cross slide drill vice to make this process even easier.

Wuauu!!! que genial 👌👌fantastico muchas gracias por enseñarnos👍👍😉😉
the diameter of the 25mm PVC pipe is inside or outside
Very nice tutorial Marko..
Please make more videos of different knots to make with this mandrel!!
I think I'll stick to my Pringles can, but well done video, as always. Love you, Marko! ❤
Hi,please can make a tutorial on how to use this for globe knot ?
Fold the pinky paper in half and half again. The three bend lines and the join will be the four equidistant points you want.
Hi, Good morning,
What is the size of the screws? length and diameter? pls!
Very Nice
How can I buy these tools?
What the size of the scrolls & the pipe please?..
Hello Sir, very smart, Thank You very much for sharing ^_^
Make the wood into a template so you don't have to keep measuring (If your making more than one)? Just transfer marks on the wood to the pipe?
Oioioi! Drill bit is bent quite a bit... Looking forward to the second part explaining how to use it..
Waoooow
Ummmm...graph paper?

Some of us are unlucky enough to have had a plumbing issue and therefore we have more tools than we want to.
что это и зачем?
вот такой что бы легче вязать
