Great review! I also liked the one for SP170. I like all the features of the 250 but I don't if they worth paying 200 extra euros. I especially like the metronome and the fact that you can add the strings during the play.
they do not have the same action. The SP170 has the NH (Natural Weighted Hammer Action) and the SP250 has the RH3 (Real Weighted Hammer Action). The RH3 is considered Korg's best action. The SP250 is about $200 more than the SP170.
between the sp-250 and sp-170, the sp-250 has, of course, more to offer. But i had the chance to put them side by side to compare, and for some reason, I liked how the sp-170 felt, although I thought they shouldn't be different considering they're the same hammer action. What do you think? Also, for some reason, I found the sp-170's sound a bit brighter, and it seems "more acoustic" than the sp-250. I thought the sp-250 sounded less realistic. I'm still deciding which one to get. Help!
@jackspic3 LOL! Yeah right! A Yamaha or Steinway grand will blow this or any Korg away. So no, we won't be saying goodby to the great acoustical pianos.
Ok please seriously, the most important part is the sound? Since when....any pianist would instantly respond "THEY KEYS"! obviously, who cares about the sound if the keys suck? the most important part is the keys, how close the feeling is to the real piano. Obviously the sound can't be crap but I keep hearing in these review videos the best thing the most important thing is the sound.....not even the best electric piano gets even close to the real thing sound wise
Played on this for several years, i still love the sound. And yes, the weighted keys.
