Hey Drongo! Love your videos, keep it up! When it comes to the Camel Lancer damage, the longer the charge more damage it will do. So a max range charge is crazy amount of damage

Sure is nice to play english if your enemy just sits back and lets you play simcity. Meanwhile the moment I have my second TC up, the Ayyyyubid player has done his discounted culture wing castle age and has Ghulam's in my base with +2 ranged armor 7-8 minutes into the game.

@@heathensein6582 I've owned and loved all the 'Age Of' games with Mythology being my favourite, with AOE2 coming a very close second. I haven't played this one yet, or indeed any on an Xbox which I just bought. My PC is not at all for gaming and can't run this. Which is better AOE2 or AOE4? Wondering which to get, maybe the latest one. I haven't played AOW2 for so many years though. Have you played them on a console, and if so, any good? Thanks brother
@@Meloncholymadness really depends on what style of game you like better. But on the hardware side of things aoe4 I’d say is definitely harder to run than age 2. Age 2 is just as good as it was back in the day and I assumed you played it but either way I’ll describe it, if you enjoy a game where the civs are more similar to each other with a lot of flexibility on the way you can play then age 2 is great. The balance is as long very good on age 2 there’s been consistent updates to campaign, bugs, balance, and so much more for age 2 so it is in a very good state rn. Age 4 is more like Starcraft where the civs are more different from each other, this isn’t bad but it is really based on preference which style of game you prefer. age 4 rn is in a good state but there are still issues but compared to launch it is doing muuuuch better. Based of which to get it is rlly preference personally I’d get age 2 but if you want to try someone new age 4 is an excellent choice. Age 2 is also a lot cheaper if you get it during Christmas it’s usually about 10 bucks and the dlcs are’s usually half of. I’d personally not play on console but that’s just my preference, so far console release for both games has not been bad but is defo worse than pc
Cheers, that helps. I'll try AOE 4 then as it's new for me, I know PC is better but I don't have that option, I'll try it on the XBox anyway. I think there's a way to still use mouse and keyboard on the XBox but I'm not sure how. I only just received the XBox so haven't even set it up yet. @@Darkcamera45

I'm here for Ayyubid game not English game... :p but you'll still get the like...
I don't think I've seen a worse use of Ayyubids than this game so far. It's an aggressive civ that wants to always pressure the enemy into dysfunctionality, an English player should never be allowed to go fast imp under Ayyubids.

@@snoopbean91133 TC into fast imp is the definition of greed. For it to go unpunished by an aggressive civ like Ayyubids shows a poor strategy from the Ayyubid player.
@@somebody700But the ayyubids had the eco advantage and locks English out of cavalry due to having access to camels, their aoe healing is really powerful, I think the ayyubids wins with eco and military if he just played it out well. What I don't understand is why ayyubids had a casual 10,000 resources unspent while not population capped at 19 minutes. English had barely over 1k unspent.
@@minggong4767 i guess it's the difference of 100 ranking spots between the two. The English player is around 20th on the world, the ayyubid player is around 120. That's where the skill difference trumps the civ difference

No for real the damage comes from their superior CHAAAAAAAAARGE!!!
They had precious metals like gold on their helmet to STOP being killed in battle! The theory was the person had wealth for jewellery, so they were worth holding for ransom, as opposed to killing

Why can't get I such a bad Ayyubids player when I'm english? Every time they are super aggressive and keep attacking until my eco does not function.
Must be the old bug from AoE2 where castles did 3x damage to ships and for some reason camels counted as ships on the damage table.

Hi guys i am struggling against Jean d arc in ranked game lol any advice how to counter early knight and woman at arms rush lol
no idea lol... thinking mayyyybe either rush horses and try to snipe JD on boars/wolves (sipahi with their extra range maybe?) and spears to defend knights, and dodge the aoe spell... but tbh any strat that involves fighting knights in feudal seems tough, and extended feudal vs JD is death. So alternately maybe get a couple towers on gold and wood with defensive spears and just rush fast castle then pump out crossbow/horse/spear?
@emissarygw2264 yeah my main is China, so I been using zhuxi quite a bit. I found mostly of my games I lost is to her. Even with tower it is really hard to turtle with it if they really trying to rush me, and if she caught my spear off position, it's just instant free xp for her. Early palacr guard wont be much helpful as well. And tbh it feels like a worse French at the beginning of the aoe4. I felt she needs a re-done to balance out a bit.
Wall early. Rush to castle, then crossbow spear combo.
@@xutiancao8028 yeah i've started playing JD a bit lately and though I haven't played a lot of games yet it just feels nice and straightforward... feudal knights are hard to deal with already, and Joan kills spears pretty well so kind of seems like the main options are to either play another knight civ or else go really fast castle. Or maybe tower rush the gold?

I on the other hand would be happy if Ayyubids got deleted, everything they do is over tuned and OP and requires less IQ to use.
Drongo, you and I both know it is the Ottomans who should be the most overpowered civ in this game. Their lineage dates back to before the Ayyubids. They ruled a greater empire than even Alexander himself. It is apparent to us all that they need regain their position as most powerful civ. They need buffs. What are the devs doing with their lives? Spending it with their families on thanksgiving day as opposed to buffing and empowering the world's greatest (and soon to be game's greatest) civilization? This is unacceptable, Drongo, and we, your community - we need you to escalate this problem of "weakness" to the upper most echelons of the relic gaming studios so that they can understand their historical shortcomings of failing to make the Ottomans the most powerful (bar none) civilization that has ever existed in all the Age of Empires titles.
