@@ericcardosiYou forget some deaf people’s eyes struggle with vision or brain with understanding. Need subtitles to help them. Sometimes his sign language can misunderstood because his sign language is different from regions or home family. Make sure subtitle and sign language to clear for deaf people can understand what is match subtitle and sign language. Not a surprise you talk from “elite” deaf people but you don’t know some deaf people have struggled. Do you know deaf with different disabilities? Not just “deaf” is “deaf”. More than that
And also help to vocabulary mean so understand.

Thank you for delivering news in ASL today! Here are my thoughts on some of the news that were shared.
As for Milton being a significant storm to cause much damage, any hurricane that makes landfall poses dangers. It looks like some may not rebuilt their life in Florida, especially if their home is uninsured.
As for Ethel Kennedy dying at 96, it is incredible to see how long people can live but unfortunately, she did not save her soul in the end. It is not worth it living a long life without saving one's soul.
As for Rafael Nadal to retire, he has had an illustrious career and the way he had played significantly damaged his knees. But the truth is that sports do not matter in the grand scheme of things.
As for an Israeli airstrike killing 28 people in Gaza, IDF's excuse of claiming that there were Hamas fighters in the building is unacceptable. It is morally wrong to kill people, especially innocent children. The young children that were killed are in Paradise now. The Israelian government and IDF are continuing the cycle of hatred, violence, war, and death.
As for a pilot dying mid-flight, I did read an article about this. Alex should have mentioned that the pilot had passed different health tests and he was fine until that incident.
As for a woman calling 911 due to 100 raccoons, this is the kind of story Alex needs to share in his daily briefings. :)

I have two things to make my comments. First, gladly, Hurricane Milton already crossed the path of FL and moved on out of Atlantic. I already saw the videos on the morning news today. Everything looked so messy. I am glad that these people were determined to evacuate but some of them got stuck in their apartments and other places . I didn’t know there were few deads 🤷♂️ sad! The worst was in Asheville, NC, there were 230 and guessed around 170 unaccounted missing after Hurricane Helene crushed unexpectedly with heavy rains and flash floods that caused damages severely bad.
Ethel Kennedy, the widowed of Robert F. Kennedy Sr, who was assassinated in 1968, passed away due of complicated stroke. My condolence goes out to the Kennedys!
The raccoon story had me laughing.
Tornado warning last night. South Florida is worse. North Florida thank god. Good bye to hurricane Milton.
