OOOOOO tell us MORE! I find that this point is great for collection/connection to the hind end for SURE. But as you are seeing it often becomes a favorite for a wide range of reasons. This point is GREAT for rescues because it also boosts vitality, soothes the nervous system, and aids digestion, issues that many rescues contend with. So glad that your rescue has you to share this with them!
Wow! I am thrilled to have access to more Acupoints on your resurrected TH-cam channel! This is a point I have used on my senior horse, but was not aware of the additional benefits in addition to hind end strengthening. Thanks for all you bring us animal lovers!
awesome! What other points do you tend to use? I'd love to know which are helping hoof care pros... Ting Points? Pain points? Liver points for healthy hooves? I'd love to know!
I usually go straight to GB21, PC6,CV17, GV20 and BL10 for the front end I always do YBH for the hind end then GV4, maybe both at the same time if the horse is sketchy with its hinds. Sometimes BL40, It depends on the reaction/release. I have not gone directly to the ting points manually but I do have a red light bell boot type pad that I have put on horses with dropped fetlocks, stimulating all the Ting points on that particular hoof ! They sure do appreciate the acupressure ❤
@@tillyme1940 great protocol! I am curious how your trimming clients like this addition! Clearly bodywork clients expect you to do things like touching points but how about trimming clients? I would expect that it sets you apart, in a GOOD way!, as having extra skills to help the horse during your work with things like balance, handling receptivity, etc... We have several of our graduates who love integrating the pointwork with their hoof care businesses and I am always fascinated to learn more about how this goes for people! The points are so much MORE than just a relaxation button!
You are so very welcome! Welcome back 😁 I know your animals have loved your acu work in the past and they'll love it now too. Let us know if there are any issues you are wanting solutions for NOW so that we can feature them! And let us know how it goes with your practice. Have fun!
Such a great Video Susan, thank you! I love this point as a general life-energy booster 🎉 and I have used it in all kinds of situations. After illness, before competitions, once super stressful situations are over, during hoof-trimming and it’s such a beautiful point to boost other points as well.
Me too! I'll have it out in two weeks but be sure to check out the PDF in the meantime since it has the info on both large and small animals! See you in 2 weeks!
Divine timing! I was just yesterday thinking I need to reference some points and get them back into routine protocol. This morning I get an email. Love the TH-cam videos as Facebook is what it is and I struggle with the other platform used. Definitely using this with Aramis as he has one hind foot that he doesn’t like to lift for our farrier. I suspect it’s balancing on the opposite side that is the issue. Always appreciate the sharing of information and great tips. Thank you Susan .🐎
Oh! Welcome @lisaw5775 ! So happy that your Aramis, handsome boy that he is, is getting this one. It is PERFECT to help with those hind end issues that can make the farrier visits a drag. We'll have more to help with those balancing issues of course but this is the NUMBER ONE point to get started with. And yes. Know that while no platform is perfect, I am over the moon to be over here and not full time.... over there 😁 And more than anything, just so glad that you could "ask and receive" the exact point you needed. I think you know this point already but never ever hurts to have reminders and new resources like the free pdf. Let us know if it helps and if we can share MORE that you need.
Congratulations! Thank you for this reminder; I had forgotten how it activates and enhances other points. I figure this is pretty much the most important point in the body.
Each animal is different and has different needs of course but for me, yes, this is my #1 point. It is so funny because my internationally famous and WONDERFUL acupuncturist for humans (also an internationally renowned teacher) barely knows or uses it for humans. I feel like the veterinary acupressure folks have this one FIGURED OUT! And yes, I love, love, love it's ability to activate and enhance other points. 😍
Yup, YBH is good for horses who struggle with balancing on three legs, especially when a hind leg is the one being lifted. Of course the handler and hoof care specialist should be looking at WHY that horse is struggling - is it fear? balance issues? pain? - and be looking for solutions (veterinary, training, acupressure and otherwise) to go along with the point use. But using the point before/during/after a hoof care session can do a lot for the horse's receptivity to this activity. Tell us what the horses in your care might need this for - we are always looking for what you all want solutions for!
This is another beautiful video Susan and the link to the PDF is also super useful as a reference. I also use this point a lot and it is certainly valuable for my horse who has also difficulty lowering its head during training; thank you for sharing
Thank you @hannahmeijlink4876 . Yes, when you study with me you DEFINITELY learn the power of this point 😁 don't you. Great for your seniors and your animals with epilepsy for SURE as well as the training issues. Can't wait to share the small animal video too.
It was one of Bodhi's favorite points. Hank, the new squeeze, hasn't developed his appreciation of acupressure yet. But I'll keep trying. Thanks for the reminder!
so great to have you back with all your tips for my Wyndym Equine Acutherapy tool box...this is a wonderful video with so much information..love it (p.s. you look so refreshed..you are such an inspiration to keep on going)
Awww thanks ! You made my day 🥰 So glad you are able to use the points for your clients - woohoo! As for feeling rested, I'll have videos on resting before too long. It is soooo essential for us animal professionals! If you see my short companion video, filmed about 10 years ago but loaded today, you'll see that I looked EXHAUSTED. I love my work so much that I have a long history of overdoing - many of us in the passion driven animal professions do. But prioritizing rest and recovery is absolutely essential - we KNOW it but we often fail to DO it. So look for videos talking about this exact topic. In the meantime, here's to YOU and your amazing work.
Fabulous so good to see you. This is an amazing point that I use in almost all my treatments with all kinds of animals Horses, dogs, cats.. and even last week with an Angora goat who was having hind end issues ... a really great point for so many things. 🩷
YESSSS! They are all so lucky to have your point work and osteo work! And I just LOVE how you absolutely expand your work beyond "just" the usual three (horses, dogs, and cats) to include goats, sheep, donkeys and more! This point helps them ALL!
So Glad to have this Channel!!! Yay!!!
Me toooo! So much more to come but I had to start with one of my all time faves!
Well done Susan, lovely to see you
thank you @beckybarrel ! So happy to finally be back at video posting and can't wait to share more soon!

I am so excited you are now on TH-cam!!! Awesome job with getting it going. I love your enthusiasm and love learning from you. Thank you Susan!
We just LOVE having you here ! 🥰
Wonderful video as always!!! Love this point. It is my rescues favorite. Definitely helped get some connection from his back end.

you KNOW I am happy to oblige 😀 This point is a "do everything" point for which the list of function is LOOOOONG!

Looking forward to the small animal version!

I like your example of using this point to help with hoof care! I will have to implement this! Thank you!
