You are a true blessing in disguise. My M2 EVO was drifting to the right and I thought it was normal. I did this method 4-5 times exactly as you described and I got it pretty much spot on. Thanks so much!
I just got an OMP M1 Evo and it had bad backwards drifting out of the box in self leveling mode. I found your video and it instantly solved my problem! Thanks for taking the time to share this with the community.
Hi Bengt and Elna, I'm following you already years now and I keep on looking and studying your videos. As they've teached me a lot about rc heli's and stuf, and they still do.. In the mean time enjoying the beautifull nature in your country; Furthermore I suspect you of being a seaman, if I remember a few videos made on board of ocean going tankers, years ago. I just don't understand the remarks you make about your face... Anyway, keep up the good work, as they say, Bengt, I absolutely love your channel AND Your commitment! Sincerely, Captain Daniel Van Halle
The youtuber that worked on a tanker was: www.youtube.com/@cruddbucket He buildt helicopters in timelapse. I loved that channel. Thank you for the comment. Allways nice to know that what we do is of meening for others. Hope you and your family is doing great.
Skip to 1:48 for the fix. Most of the video seems to be filler material and isn't useful, but if you care for the back story then watch the whole thing. Thanks for the info either way
Awesome tip! I had a slight drift to the left with my M2 Evo, this corrected that with just one hover for 20 seconds in the self-leveling adjustment mode. Many thanks from the US, and Merry Christmas!
Nice christmas tree and i like the little house decoration. i have the M1 already and the M2 is on its way santa has got delayed with mine due to all our strikes in the UK :(. Thanks for the tips i had never seen this one before. Have a blssed christmas.
helped me a lot TNX, works on Eachine E120S with E6 Transmitter..transmitter must be in the (lower triangle lit up) "on screen" in H/L flick switch to go into calibration mode.
Thats great ,, never knew you could get in n out of self level mode by the elevator stick !!!! Another way is to set the gyro above 50 and below 50 for normal gyro ,,, i have the old spectrum dx6i transmitter,,,, above 50 puts it in self level mode ,,, this way you can switch modes while flying
Thanks a lot. I wonder where did you find out about this stable mode calibration?) In fact, it seems to me that they are trying to calibrate them from the factory, but very badly. If you reset the flight controller, the swashplate will be level in stabilization mode, but it still did not help me completely. It seems to me that after calibration it is still slightly tilted (of course, not as much as in your video, but just a little bit barely noticeable to the eye), apparently to compensate for the rotation of the tail rotor. What is achieved by your magical calibration.
The best way to calibrate is about 2-3 Above ground in no wind at all. Mine did drift a bit to the left in normal mode but after a quick swash setup in the gyro it is rock steady. There are good setup videos out there
This was a great fix but after the 3rd time doing it now the heli is stuck in self level in all flight modes , Normal ,idle 1 and idle 2 any ides on how to get it back I have no idea how it happened
Well that is a great question. But i guess the gyro needs some movement in order to correct it self. But why not try it and give me some feedback. Im waiting for the M2 EVO as we speak.
I'm having an issue on a new heli where when I come out of idle up mode, the heli takes a long while for the head speed to slow down. This happens even if I set flat curves for normal, Idle 1 and Idle 2 (60%, 70%, 85%). Going up it responds instantly but coming down there is a few seconds delay before head speed slows down. Any ideas?
Im really not sure. But perhaps it is a setting in the esc for better auto rotation since it is direct drive. I need to test mine to see if it is the same.
Self leveling is like Safe system. If you panic just flip the switch. But many people also use it for learning. In Idle 1 and 2 you can do 3D flights and really let loose. 😊
No settings needed. Just use linear Throttle curves and pitch curves. But make sure that you have the switch on another channel than your flight modes. You will set pitch and trrottle curves as you like in flight mode.
@@ArcticRc Thanks for the quick reply just learing to fly heli's having a problem understanding all the settings, I have been using the throttle cut has an emergancy

Thank you very much Sir. I belive that is the second time we get a super Thank you. :)
Sorry to sound thick but is this self levelling if you get out of control? you let go of the sticks and it rights itself?
In that mode yes. But you still need to control the throttle preventing it to fall down😊
Thank you for removing my frustration wit my om[ m2. I thought I bought a piece of junk. It flys great now. you are a genious.
I did this inside a big parking garage to ensure there was no wind.

I use this same drifting debug procedure on my XK X110 and XK K110s, works great!
I have to do that tomorrow on the field just changed my shaft. Having a drift thx for the help
Great to be at help Sir. 😊 Please subscribe if you like our content.
Setting up the gyro's would be very welcome. Thank you for the time.
Is the red led the gyro light. When I hold elevator down. The red lstart ojutsolid and after I hold the elevator down the red starts blinking.
I think this will also work with Goosky S1 and S2
Hi is it normal for failsafe to take off towards ceiling when swithed to 3d mode ???
Failsafe?? 3d mode? 3d mode is full throttle as usual. But in failsafe have you throttlecut on?
Very helpful-worked wonders on my M1 too so I can fly indoor in super small area.
I am going to try this on my Goosky S2.
It is is drifting bad to the left.
Thanks !!!
Does this worked with your S2
Works fine on my Goosky S1. 😊
thankthanj you for the information. Please do a video on setting for a spektrum radio for a omp v2. It would be greatly. appreciated.
We have done one . You just need to check videos on the channels you scroll thru. But here is a link for you. th-cam.com/video/lApWZTxiUr0/w-d-xo.html

If you plug it in and turn the radio on after it is sitting on a level surface it self levels automatically- works better
Thank you a ton. Works awesome!

No sir. Never happend here. But there should be a way to factory reset the flight controller. Try to search for it on youtube or google. 😊
@@ArcticRc I already did a factory reset still didn't change it thanks anyway
Rebind it@@franmisantone3230
1000 Thanks! Great help in the way of satisfying flight!
what if using your idea but dismentle the blade? must calilbrate on air?

Does this work with an external receiver?
As long as it is connected to the gyro
What’s the difference between self leveling and normal mode….ie how do you get into those modes?
Is that the same as your normal, idle 1, and idle 2?

Not sure Sir. But it cant harm trying😊
